Anyone mind helping me with one of the epic quests to get a weapon? I have to do the summoning pits on 26 and kill that wizard on the third ship at the boss and I cant get there by myself. k/d ratio 1.21 only 57 hours played.

So I've been playing for about 3 weeks now. Got to level 30 by purchasing Vanguard armor and finding one legendary engram.
A random guy rushed me through Crota normal and hard mode last night. Pretty badass. Got a Fang of Ir Yut and a few other pieces.
What is the order of the endgame raids/activities? Seems like my Vanguard legendaries are better than the ones I got from Crota.

Vault of Glass> Crotas End> POE> Vendor
The vanguard and crucible vendor weapons are no where close to the glory that are VOG Raid weapons. Although they (excluding Mythoclast and Necro) will be phased out as Year 1 weapons, no one can deny the awesomeness that are the VOG weapons as a whole and some of the Crotas End weapons (The Pulse Rifle, Scout Rifle, Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher).
Once you experience them (especially the VOG legendary raid weapons), you'll pour out some of your beer for their passing as they fade into the sunset.

- Your light level will automatically be your new level in TTK.
- crucible and vanguard marks are now called legendary marks. It will be converted and transferred over. 200 is the amount in your wallet, but no limit to what you can earn.
- 16 bounty spots
- Double the vault space
- leveling up will like when you were 1-20 in the first game.
- if you complete all 5 crucible bounties in one week, you get a chance at an unknown reward like nightfall.
- exotics that you already found in year 1 that are upgraded to year 2, will automatically be accessible to you to purchase.
This is what I caught casually listening to it while at work.

To add to this, not every Year 1 Exotic will have an upgradeable Year 2 version they said on stream.

They also introduced an item called a Spark of Light or something like that, which basically boosts one toons level straight to 25 so you can start TTK.
They discussed about the armsday stuff a little bit and how that works. But Tuan pretty much covered what they talked about. Cannot wait for 9/15 even if I'm going to be super busy with other stuff.

They needed to move on from year one weapons. Gjallarhorns is one of a handful of weapons that literally everyone uses in PVE and makes it stale. Same thing with thorn/last word and a shotgun.
I used to run around PVP with a legendary hand cannon and a fusion rifle before I really started playing a lot and switched, because fusion rifles (outside of mayne Plan C) are now worthless, and non-exotic hand cannons don't hold a candle to exotics.
Hopefully the new meta brings in some variety, but I'm sure three months from now 80% of players will be using the same four primaries and the shotgun dujour.
