The gameplay in 2 is unquestionably pretty much improved in all areas over 1, which they were building off work they already laid foundation for it in its “sequel” miles morales
Literally everything else about that game is pretty trash imo though. Yes I 100% mean the extremely off putting non stop politics, but it is a lot more. They’re trying to do way way too much in a single game, similar to marvel films sometime.
It should’ve just been a game about Kraven as the main baddy with minor ones too or it should’ve just been a game about the symbiote and venom and how it is changing Peter with again, minor villains as well.
Then they really want miles to have at least 50% screen time, I would get my life this would a declaration from on top due to DEI, so you’re telling an incredibly packed story already that truly most of the times treads on making little sense when you think about it for a bit, with a narrative framing device that’s incredibly difficult for even the best writers to pull off and that’s using deuteragonist

Just finished the 2nd game and I agree with this. I only came across one mission that had gay stuff and that was a side quest.
It's a damn good game.

The game is absolutely stuffed as much as humanly possible with anything associated with left wing political philosophy post 1970s. Sometimes it’s incredibly obvious like the mission where you make two gay dudes go to prom. A bunch of times it is pretty lower key.
This is not even really debatable. You can think it is a good thing or a bad thing but even the most ardent “progressives” openly admit this.
It has problems that run deeper than just that though like I talked about above, outside of the gameplay which is excellent 10/10
All three are free on ps plus right now anyway so just play it if you want
There’s actually some pretty okay to actually really good shite on there right now actually if people missed certain games like RDR2, Rise of the Ronin, dying light, cyberpunk, persona 5 Royal, FF16 and a lot more are all free on PlayStation plus currently
They have been doing a good job on classics too. Just added Dino crisis. Really need to get parasite eve on there

If you thought the GOAT superhero game was ok then Spider-Man probably won’t do much for you unless you just love that character universe so much more.
