Holy shitballs the living statue quest is the toughest encounter in the game imo. Those sorceresses made me run off, they were even immune to the dimeritum (?) bombs

Dude I died like three times. Those sorceresses fricked me up.
I finally just had to keep dodging/rolling and then just attack one strike at a time.

I'm just now doing the quest to unlock mutagen upgrades.

Finished the "bad" ending today reloaded a save and doing the sex ending now.
----edit----
When the game ended I was wonder WTF happened that killed them both, googled it and it appears my game glitched and didn't show the death sequence.

Something I never thought I'd say in a video game:
I just stepped on Thumbelina.

I think my favorite part of the fairy tale world was Puss in Boots lol.
Also, Wasn't expecting what was awaiting me when I went up Rapunzel's tower.

Yeah, I was definitely doing a WTF face on that one. Leave it to this game to twist her fate that way.
ETA: Finished B&W. Man that felt like a full game on its own. I guess I got the "good ending". Now I want to do an epic New Game + run including the 2 DLCs. That'll probably take me through the summer. Also, at the end of the credits for B&W, they say they promise to make more content. Jeebus, not sure if they're talking DLC or another Witcher adventure.

Just won the best steel sword that I've come across in the game (better than any of the grandmaster stuff). I won it off of the first opponent in the Skillige only deck gwent tournament. You have to take his offer for higher stakes. The sword is Blave. 382-468 with 15% Aard+ 24% Igni+ 15% Axii+ 75% Crit damage bonus and 15%+ crit hit chance. I also picked up Ami from a contract. Badass silver sword and currently my best.

All the best swords are relics. Sets swords suck and never really worth using for the 2nd bonus.

Just wait until you get the badass silver sword from the hermit for completing all the five virtues.
That thing is fricking legit. Only thing that sucks is that you can't put runestones in it for the glowing writing, but it does make some ridiculous green glow on each kill and makes every strike a critical hit.

Im still waiting on my last one. The hermit was one of the first thing i've came across for this DLC, now im almost 20hrs in and still haven't done my last virtue. Starting to get me a little annoyed.

Have you done all he side missions?
I dont know if it's just random events or side missions, but I completed them all without even knowing i was doing it. I mean I can't remember anything having anything to do with virtues either lol.

I'm pretty close. Done every treasure and Witcher contract mission. Now working the bigger/main missions off notice boards and random encounters. I'm getting pretty close until it's the generated random hand out missions.
Trying to do everything I can before moving the main story forward. I've been sitting on that dinner with a Wight mission for quite some time.
Edt: I do believe the virtues are random encounters. So I've read on IGN.

I found out after being rekt at this fight that the damn lanterns you light before the statues comes to life also are shooting fire-lightning at you. I had to run all the way to the edge of the area away from them to have a chance.
I also used my enhanced northern wind and dancing dragon bombs to finally beat it. The key is the to get away from the damn fire that's being shot at your from seemingly nowhere. When I finally found out it was the damn lanterns I was able to beat it pretty easily.

No wonder. It was non-stop ranged attacks that caused me so much trouble. Retreating was my only option, those attacks would hit me coming out of a roll

Put them out with Aard. =)

Yea, at first I thought it was just the two casters, but eventually realized they were throwing fireballs, and the fire-lightning type attack was just coming out of thin air, as soon as I figured out to run to the far edge of the area it was over.
I was cursing the game, esp bc of the 1+ minute load time after dying.

Consoles suffer from load times? How are load times for fast travel?
Posted on 6/6/16 at 3:40 pm to LSU Coyote
fast travel is quick, but loading the initial save takes 30 secs or more it seems like, and that means every time I die it a long wait on ps4.

Gives you a chance to fix a bowl of cereal I guess.
