well after doing it the old fashioned way, i found out there's a guy who will direct you in a more specific way, but for all of the ones with the castle i had to play detective and the glowing ring doesn't show up until you're right in front of it.
it was just the one by eldin volcano. i was at the right spot but it was becoming a time sink and not in the good way right at the moment i finally found it. only time I've been annoyed at the game during all the time I've spent playing it

Switching gears: does anyone else find it odd that Link can climb ridiculously high mountains and cliffs but can't swim half as well as a normal human being?
I understand wanting to force players to find more inventive ways to islands and such, but it's weird that staying still in a river doesn't replenish your stamina. Doggy paddling isn't very exerting, especially in these low-current streams and lakes. I could understand it in raging rivers.

which made finding the memory locations with the castle as the central point of reference a huge pain in the arse.
I have no fricking clue where that forested area is, and I hope I find some sort of fort later on, because I really hope that one memory is not at Hyrule Castle. Then I have one other left, but I have a good idea where that is, since I have the memories before and after it. Just there's a fricking Minotaur near where it is that kills me constantly.

I thought this one was near the Gerudo Desert, but then when I looked at it closely the Castle would appear in the opposite direction. Struggled a little bit once I got there, but I eventually found it.

How do I obtain the rest?
So I see a lot of spirit animals. Spirit/Ghost rabbits, rams and even horses.
Can I mount these horses and rams? They are hard to get close.

zora legs require you to take a picture of the red hynel where you found the shock arrows and give it to a girl in zoras domain. side quest.
zoras helm , there is a hint on a stone monument in zoras domain on where to find it . you have to visit some ruins

Are those the minotaurs? Because I'm staying away from them as long as possible. I found a place to buy the shock arrows, so I just skipped it once I got killed 10 times without even getting close.

Anybody else think that Calamity Ganon in the final boss fight looks like that Spider Boss on Doom? That is the creepiest Zelda boss I've ever seen.

My goal is to not go to Hyrule Castle until 100hrs into this game.
I'm doing the FallOut method for my play through.

No they are Lynels... yeah the Minotaurs.
I don't remember Lynels in no other Zelda but Link Between Worlds and the OG.

Man those pictures take me way back in time for sure. I totally forgot about those in the OG

Random note on this, if you remove your armor, you use less stamina and you can swim faster.

I love MM but played OoT before the Switch launch.
OoT might be the best Zelda even though MM is my favorite Zelda title. Just hate how ppl shtt all over MM.

On another topic, what "story" do you guys think will be in the DLC? Post end game? Or will it be before the calamity?

i lured the lizards out and killed them, then killed a poe and avoided the others by climbing up and over to constantly avoid the slow moving electricity
those electricity lizards will still frick you up late into the game.
That tower was tough. I took out the closest wizard thing with arrows, and lured out the closest lizards and killed them on the land. After that, I used the freeze blocks to shield myself from the vision of the remaining lizards and block their swim path. I used the remaining ice block to climb up once I got close to the tower, and then laid down the other two blocks to form a bridge to the tower. One of the remaining wizards followed me up the tower, but I was lucky enough to have the little platforms on the way up block his attacks.

Here's the difference between OoT and MM: OoT is big; MM is deep. And it seems that we're getting both in this game, and I couldn't be happier.

For those of us who want a harder challenge on the next playthru , consider playing naked.
Or just run through towns naked for fun
A lot of NPCs have special dialog for when link shows up in his birthday suit.

Thankfully for me, I get so easily sidetracked that it becomes easy to achieve that
