Wait till you see their Cleaner equivilant, the ones with axes and fricking shields. Those guys suck if you lose sight of them.

The Madison Square Garden mission on hard is a lot harder than it was in the beta. I did match making for it and got paired up with two level 4's and a level 5 (I was level 8) and all the enemies scaled up to my level. The last fire fight on the roof was insane. We got our asses handed to us the first try because we all just did our own thing. The second try we actually used strategy and managed to eek out a win even though 3/4 of the team was severely under leveled. It was a ton of fun.

For all the shite people gave the AI charging at you with bats, those guys hurt me the most in the beta.

They still hurt plenty. But that doesn't make the AI any less dumb.

The melee enemies rush you so your not just sitting in one spot the entire fight, they help to make you reposition and keep fights dynamic. I really saw this in the hard mode missions when we would be fighting 3-4 normal enemies, we would sit back in cover and pick them off as they came out of cover. Then they had multiple melee units charge us and we had to refocus our attention on them before they got to us. This let the other AI flank us and do some pretty good damage on us.

It's basically makes a priority system which in the early game should be

Melee units
Grenade enemies
Sniper enemies
standard enemies
boss

Well I feel like human beings are more intelligent than thrall, so thrall get a pass.

Also for when you guys come up on snipers. Best play is to get on top of them. They pull out pistols then and are much safer to take down.

Snipers can do some serious damage but I would still put them under the melee and grenade enemies. As long as your in cover sniper's aren't a huge concern, its the enemies that push you out of cover that should take top priority.

I've seen you on the political board. You should know this is not always true

It goes back to the art style of the game misleading people. You are looking for something they were not trying to accomplish. You may think humans would not do that but they want them to. Those are grunts they put in the game designed to do that one thing.

Somebody posted these on reddit. It is his view of his office and how it is in the game. Pretty neat.

So what's up with dying? Do you lose anything and is there any benefit to going back to your "death location"?

Don't think you lose anything except for when you are in the Dark zone.

If the entire team wipes you restart from the checkpoint I think. It is similar to Destiny.

That's pretty wild. Attention to detail is awesome.

We give Massive credit for the good things.
All bad things are Ubi's fault.

Just so that we are clear.

Also, if you didn't love Destiny's gameplay mechanics, you still may love this game, because they're not particularly similar.
The looting, stat progression, MMO style, and bullet sponge enemies are very much like Destiny.

Yeah it's been pretty fun so far, and I only got to level 4 so far. It's got me watching twitch streams at work and wishing I was at home playing right now.

Sweet, I'll be on tonight at some point and sending out friend invites. I didn't get to play the Beta for very long but I got the gist. The firefights seemed pretty entertaining and action packed.
