Yes please update the first post. That will keep things interesting. If you could link the online dynasty website that would be cool too.

Will do. I have in years past, but didn't want to put the effort in if it went unnoticed. I'll start working on that tonight.

I like it, but I disagree about 5 min/quarter being too short. Once other players learn how to run an effective offense, scores will skyrocket again.

Maybe. I just feel that as soon as I'm getting into a good game, it's over with 5 min quarters. I don't think we'll go as low as that. Does everyone really hate the 7 minute quarters that much? Let's roll with it for this first season and see where feelings are at the end, as well as stats and scores, and adjust from there.

Who has yet to play? shite is getting advanced regardless of excuses tomorrow evening. Peeps have had since last Friday to play. If you can't get your opponent to respond, let me know and I'll auto them. If we move this slow on the regular, well never get a season done, much less the 10 I'm aiming for.

Humble, you have until 10 to respond. Else, FleurDeLonestar will replace you.

I told ya'll I was going out of town for a week, and so I'm currently unavailable to play. I said I'd be back saturday and once I'm back I'm good to go for however long this dynasty lasts.

Me and TCU tried to get our game in before I left but it kept disconnecting.

If you don't mind me being gone for 5 more days, then set me on auto for the week.

That's fine. I don't remember you saying you were going out of town, so if I missed that, I apologize. I just kept hearing that people weren't responding to game requests. I'll set you on auto for the week, and then you can resume when you return to town. Thanks for the update.

Game went about as expected for the first game. Line not strong enough to provide debate with any protection, but the killer was the bobbled pass to the tight end resulting in an int on the 1st drive of the second half. All props to art. This is gonna take time with an unranked team.

AU, there have been multiple allegations of you running a cheese factory on NCAA. Maryland I hurry ups with 4 & 5 WR set audibles and vice versa. If this is the case, I'm going to have to replace you in the dynasty. When more than four individuals say something, it's hard to ignore...

Gg nelly. You need to throw in a lot more run. When I realized you were going to throw the ball the whole game it was over. I sat back in cover two and waited for you to frick up and throw a pick. I thought the td right before half was the killer for you. I missed a couple of deep passes and know it's hard to cover mike Floyd. I figured I'd give it another shot.

I always audible when I come out in a 4 WR set and the D is in a dime package. A couple of my audibles are Maryland-I plays. Every user I have played has come with something that someone considers cheese in this game. I audible a lot because I like to find mismatches. I consider that legitimate strategy. Malzahn audibled in the BCS Championship game to get mismatches for out two biggest gains in the game. JAE ran 3 plays out of the wildcat 75% of the time, and my defense had a really tough time stopping it, but you don't see me complaining about it and calling it cheese (not saying JAE was complaining about me, although I've only played 2 to 3 people from TD so I find your claim that more than four individuals said something puzzling). 90% of the skill required in this game is figuring out your opponent's offensive strategy and learning how to stop it. It should be noted that audibling into the Maryland-I from a 4WR set is usually not very effective. WRs playing FB and TE don't do a very good job of blocking. I almost always begin drives in the Ace or I-Form, and I stay in that formation until I feel that the D is set up to shut the play down. I do run a hurry-up offense, but I pretty much never start a drive in the Maryland-I unless I'm running the clock in the 4th with a big lead, and I usually don't start a drive in a 4WR set unless my back is against the wall. If you feel the need to kick me for utilizing audibles, that's fine, but I don't see the justification at all.

The problem with audibling like that is that the computer doesn't take into account that you now have WR blocking for some reason, that's the only problem I have with it.

this

i can understand a audible to a run here and there but the shotgun 4-5 wide to a goaline running formation(which is what the maryland I really is) screams glitching imo
yes teams audible irl a whole bunch but not like that.. if they come out in shotgun with 4 wr and see a soft zone then the audible IRL would be to a under center quick dive with the recievers maybe coming in tight but not to a goalline formation with wr's at fullback and whatnot

just my 2 cents on the subject

Mgsmith is correct. When you audible to Maryland I your recievers are blocking like FB's. If you come out in 4wr sets or 3wr sets I'll come out in a dime or nickel. So when you see that you audible to Mary I. And to clarify your statement on my wildcat, I ran that only in game 4 or 5 to piss you off because it is cheese the other games I ran regular offense on you and did just fine. Not ranting but all four games you ran your Mary I fb dive, toss, or A draw up the middle and when I'd set up to stop your runs you'd audible back out and put your receivers in post corners. Can I stop it? Sure but the chances of you gaining positive yardage EVERYTIME as supposed to to me tipping a pass and stopping you from picking up a 6 yard gain are significantly lower.

The only reason I responded to you was because you brought up the wildcat which I only used after being fed up with the wr's blocking like FB's.

Edit: and you ran a hurry dive play a few times straight down the field because I was in nickel

I didn't realize that WRs were okay at blocking as FBs, but I won't audible from a 4WR set to Maryland anymore or vice versa.

That was your bad. I kept running the HB dive from an ace formation because you were in the nickel, but I believe you ended up forcing a fumble both times anyway. You know you can change formations when I'm in the hurry up, right? In the 4 partial games we played, I must have fumbled 10 times, and I even hit RB to protect the ball before every hit.
