LoL, I guesss you could go that way when you lose the discussion. I am sure you wouldn't play it that direction if we talked about other features besides the phone app that you like better on Android.

These things have move well past being a phone. It's no longer the future of handheld gaming, Nintendo giving up and joining the party proves that.

I don't play mobile games so I really don't care that ios got a game first. I've had android and ios and I like android but honestly wouldn't mind at all being on ios. But yes, I "lost" the argument.

But the iPhone and iPad have limited gaming potential as Super Mario Run proves. You just can't have a good flexible platformer on a touchscreen with no other inputs. Sure you can get a bit creative with Run, but I can't imagine this will be as good as the regular series.

All Mobile games are garbage and designed entirely around the skinner box effect.

Miyamoto was heavily involved in the production

Said it's the most hands on he's been since galaxy and thinking about his success with making insanely fun and addictive 8 bit games

I think this will be a huge hit

Wait. You're telling me a (mostly) open source OS with a much bigger user base and larger version and hardware variability has more total security vulnerabilities than a closed OS on a limited number of hardware platforms and a smaller user base!?

Regardless, I'll probably play this eventually out of curiosity but I don't really use my phone for gaming either. Every time I install a mobile game I play it for 2 days and then forget I even have it.

There are a lot more options for controls beyond what Nintendo did for their first entry into the mobile gaming era. It's pretty short sighted to say this style of gaming is limited. This part of gaming is growing at an amazing rate and the level of penetration into culture is amazing as Pokémon GO proved. Maybe that's the problem this board has with it, everyone is getting in on the fun and it's not limited to a bunch of elitists.

Ok, try and make a hardcore Metroid or Zelda game on a tablet. I don't see how it is remotely feasible. Anything an iPhone can do, 3DS can probably do better in terms of gaming.
