Is it worth picking up? I'm mainly a console gamer, but been reading a lot of hype about it. Curious what thoughts are on it.

I've played the beta, and it will be a legit game.

I would like to play it, but pc probably won't handle it. My brother got an alienware pc about 2 years ago, so I hope his will suffice. I may also be in the market for a new laptop, so that may be an option too.

Blizzard does an amazing job in making their games scalable for A LOT of different PC's

Yeah I've got a computer that can handle it, and no I haven't played the first one. Thought I might pick it up since I'm burned out on MW2 & not gonna get NCAA.
I know a lot of console gamers don't like computer games (& vice versa) so was curious from that aspect.

Starcraft 2 will score between a 9 and 9.5 on most review sites if that tells you anything.
I played beta since the day it started and it was already more polished than most games that are retail.
Few things to note... especially if you plan on playing on battle.net:
1) This is the hardest type of game to become good at
2) You will get your arse kicked many times on your way to becoming good
3) The meta game will be changing constantly
