Sniping on Bad Company 2

Awesome.
Never been a fan of sniping on MW/MW2. Always felt like IW intentionally made sniping mediocre on purpose for some reason.
On the BC2 demo when on attacking team, finding a spot on that mountain that overlooks the base with the first crates is a blast.
Distance shots with the bullet dropping is how sniping should be on a fps and you just don't get that on MW.

The maps in BC2 are huge with many vantage points that could prove to be useful for a sniper.
I never played a sniper class in MW2. I'm a pretty mediocre sniper in general, I've found. I did enjoy playing around with the class some in this demo.
I think the last time I was an effective sniper was Team Fortress for Half Life a long long time ago. I stopped trying to snipe seriously way back in Halo.

If it's anything like the sniping in Black Hawk Down I'm gunna pick this up. Getting out 1000 meters from the rest of the map and picking people off was so much fun in that game.

Battlefeild's large maps have always been good for sniping, used to have so much fun on battlefield 2

It's the shite. I have over 500 kills. All comming from snipe and pistol. I play with buds who will spawn behind me and instantly know to leave me extra ammo. It's now nothing to go 25/5. I've got my spots attack side and def. Side. Nothing beats sniping a guy who's on the run. One word.....SKILL. Only reason I'll buy the game.

It is funny you said that. I was thinking earlier this is the best fps for sniping I've played since BHD. Always loved heading out into the mountains on BHD for those 20 point kills.

I don't snipe in MW2 at all. But, sniping in Battlefield is one of my favorite things to do. Bullet drop is awesome. Headshots are instant kills, the way it should be.

The only thing I do not like about BC2 is the "your killer cam", it gives your spot away. Once you start playing some decent players, they will be able to find you and you won't be able to post up like that.

That's why I try to act like I'm running to a new spot for a couple of seconds after I get a kill. Then, I just go right back to my camp site.

dunno why you guys dont like sniping in MW2.
the WA2000 and the Barret are pretty sick if you preactice with them. USew tactical insertion and get a good spot.
Of course some maps you just can't snipe.
Sniper rifle with the ACOG can be deadly if you get good with it.

I bet some guy thought I was cheating tonight.
He killed me on the mountain and when I respawned and was coming down by parachute I saw him below get behind a rock.
Impossible to get a good shot off while parachuting down because the simulated AAA bumps you around to much.
I decided to take a pot shot and while parachuting in put the cross hairs near him and squeezed one off and damned if it wasn't a head shot.
Retarded luck but funny.
