Shadow of War true ending locked behind microtransactions?

I'm not buying the game regardless as I don't care for open world games but I figured lots of you might be interested to hear this.
According to several reviews the grind to do this normally is difficult, but given the skill of journalists we will have to see how true that actually is.

I loved grinding the first one so I have no problem as long as I can actually get the best ending.
This isn't some multiplayer game so I don't care if someone can pay to speed things along as long as I can get the best ending through normal gameplay.

Didn't like the first one so not buying this one, sad if true.

Why is it sad?
This isn't a PVP game. Who cares if the person down the block wins faster by paying more.
Micro transactions are only bad if it gives the other guy a real upper hand in multi-player.
DLC is only evil if they cut a piece of the original game out that is necessary for the plot.
I normally hate DLC 100% but I've had to change my tune since Witcher 3. Now it is case by case, hatred by default.

micros belong in games like dota, CSGO and other free to play games. Charging people full price for a game then charging then leaving items/abilities/quests/etc out of it on purpose just to charge people more is shitty.

So you are saying they didn't put in the grind (which I hate) to entice buying the faster method? I just wish when you buy a game it was the game, not day one DLC and not micro transactions, see my "I am too old for gaming" post.

Game prices either have to rise or they have includes things like this to make money. Cost of development has increased in the past 12 years, but the MSRP has remained at $60.
While I don't support exploitative DLC, I don't think is the case for Shadow of War.

The lack of reviews from someone not named Gamespot or IGN is disturbing. Cool, I don't have to buy micro transactions, but they always manipulate gameplay to entice you. That'll always be a negative way to me.
It'd be like Nintendo offering "time saver" micro transactions that would plot the location of every Korok seed or treasure chest on the map for you in BOTW. Ubisoft does that with Assassin's Creed games. Just needless and reeks of bloatware mechanics.
I loved the first one and this looks really good, but I'm holding off until ACG or another trustworthy source gives a review.

If the game requires you to do the side quests and hunt for the best orcs, I have zero problem. It's called playing the damn game.
I did every mission and then captured every orc I could so I had zero problem grinding the first game for fun.
If they screwed with the game to force people to buy speed ups, there will be 1000s of angry rants on YouTube almost immediately.

tbf, the only thing I'm mini-melting about is the forking loot boxes. Random drops of the shite you are grinding for...or spend a few bucks to guarantee you get it.
So I could play for 20 hours and have that sweet weapon/armor and you could play for 100 hours and never see it. That's shitty in multiplayer games; it's flat disgusting in a single player game.

Loot was already pretty random in the first game. 98% percent of the drops were garbage so I don't see how the random loot in the new game will be any different.
They just made it easier for folks who don't want to grind for specific items. It isn't like they lowered the drop rate to 1% for good items. It was already a low chance to get a great drop in the first game.
I reserve the right to change to the Torch & Pitchfork mob at a later date but for now, I will wait until I actually play the game before I slam it.

Which is why my default reaction is hatred but Witcher 3 DLC was worth every penny.

I mean, things have been cut out of games for time and money constraints forever. If they game doesn't feel empty, then I don't think it should be penalized. If you want to get cynical enough, every game ever has been sold to you has been cut or "unfinished".
On-disc DLC is cancer though.

DLC isn't micro transactions or loot boxes.
CDPR at least proved DLC *can* be done right. But that doesn't mean all shitty DLCs get a free pass because hurr durr Witcher did it.
