Sounds like maybe it would be best to apply consistent deadlines for the games to be played. Something like weeks move forward Sunday @ midnight and Thurs. at midnight.
It seems if people knew that, they'd make more effort to play the game in time.

yeah i was actually considering doing that, but couldn't think what would be reasonable with 2 or 3 games a week mandated, but I think with most peoples schedule i would rather just go 2 mandatory games a week.

Here's an example of my schedule starting this weekend:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Work
Monday, Tuesday - Off
Wednesday, Thursday - Work
Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Off
Monday-Tuesday - Off for Labor Day and Jury Duty Tuesday (can play that night for sure)
Wednesday-Thursday Off
I have pretty much played my games as quickly as they have been advanced. We waited about a month to get this dynasty started, I hope we can be a little patient with the guys who are at least trying to get their games in. On those days I'm scheduled to work I can get games in until about 2:00pm on my first day to work because I work graves only. My grave shift starts at 4:30 p.m.

So would a monday night and a friday night advancing be alright? It doesn't look like it would interfere with any of your work.

Yeah that's good for a week and a half. If you say for example that we will advance every 5th day I absolutely can get all my games in if the other guys is available. If not I don't want to make it too hard for the others and I can drop out. But I've been keeping up pretty well and usually find myself waiting for the others to finish.

well there isn't any need to kick you out, i mean you are usually done with your games at least a day after the week is advanced. so i don't really want to do that. I will just say advance every fifth day and if everyone is done before that then we will advance of course

Saintstig I can play anytime on Tuesday and until about 12:30 am on Wednesday. Then it would have to be Friday at about 2pm until.

Same to you. I stunk it up. I was doing ok into the 2nd half but the sack on my opening drive and having to settle for a FG hurt me....then of course the option fumble you ran back for 6. You know at one point Tebow and Harvin were both out the game; Tebow was knocked out for 2 quarters. I'll keep playing and get better...good game.

well now that we have a little bit of hurricane gustav coming my way i don't know when i will be able to advance again. I will try to get it in friday night and regardless of what the storm does i will be out of town all weekend saturday-monday

Tweez....I wonder if we can just roll w/ a 6 team league? Perhaps even up the teams into the SEC-E and SEC-W divisions and that might allow us to move quicker. Just an idea.

I'd be willing to do that, but i dont know if some of the guys with undefeated records would want to give up their team for AU who already has one loss..I guess we could try though.

Evacuating from Lake Charles to Shreveport. Depending on if my house is still here when I get back I will try to advance or just retire me if you don't hear from me in a week or two. That means Southwestern LA is still underwater and I'm too pissed to play games anyway. Good luck to everybody.
