Got mine in this evening. Shipping box was fine, but the product box had a seal that had been cut open and there were 2 tears at the bottom of the box, as well as a big strip of tape holding it closed. Console, controller, and cables were fine though. WTF

So what are people's thoughts so far? Is everyone playing Pro Enhanced games or are you guys also playing some unenhanced PS5 titles and some PS4 titles?

I fired up RE4make with Quality mode, HFR, and Ray Tracing, and I was still getting way over 100+ fps. Felt like I was playing on PC

I just can’t buy it on principle. I have the 700$ I could get it but Sony is at its scummiest here. 700$ console, no disc drive, vertical stand sold separately, raises controller price at same time, still hasn’t lowered base ps5 cost and even raised it sharply in places like Japan. Then stack all that on they aren’t actually bringing any new games to market with it. It at launch exist to solely exist to “supposedly” allow 60 fps with fidelity graphics but that sure are not forgetting to mention in small sprint this could all total not happen at all depending on how much work the devs wanna put into workin on it

Third jab is the ps5 is already an excellent console. Never playing rebirth in performance mode was I annoyed with grass blade photo realism

Yeah idk if you ever figured this out or not but for that gaunlet run if you pull a maxed out all linked with fire in clouds armor ifrit will just continue to heal you while you annihilate bahamaut and it makes the fight pretty easy. What strategy did you use?

Hard mode is good btw. Have you done the yuffie dlc? It is great and something rare so far in this trilogy, brief. Plus you will learn her mechanics for rebirth. Shes the best solo fighter in the whole rroster because she can target any element without materia and in rebirth her new abilities get beyond amazing

Were you making sure to focus dps on Bahamauts wings whenever he has them out? I dont remember if thats a mechanic for his fight in remake but its very important in rebirth so a tip if you didnt know.

Theres late game fights where you have to do 4 multiple summon fights like that one to fight the games superboss. I think Bahamaut is linked with Titan in that one. But by far Odin and Alexander is the most annoying fight

If it is the same as rebirth (pretty sure it is) it is the second way of entering him into pressure status. The first is hitting enough dps on him while he charges megaflare will stop it and pressure him. There are times he will do some move i forget its name and either more wiings come out or his ones originally can be targeted. Destroying one will pressure him without having to beat the dps check and risk insta death
