Ps5 must buys?

I haven't had a PlayStation since bought PS3 for The Show years and years ago
Pretty much only bought Xbox for years and mainly PC for now. Was going to get my kids a new xbox this summer but then found out yesterday that my 2nd grader won a PS5 for participating in school fundraiser lmao.
So any must haves that are PS exclusive? I mainly play rpgs. Kids play everything on switch and xbox but lean towards pokemon and Mario platformers? Just curious been away from Sony for so long.

There's no PS5 must buys at the moment unless you want to check out Demon Souls remake. However since you haven't had PS in a long time you can play the majority of the great PS4 exclusives for free if you subscribe to Playstation Plus. They're also giving away Horizon Zero Dawn for free right now which was an awesome game on PS4

Should get you started. I haven’t felt the need to get a 5, since even though I’m a Demons Souls fanatic the remake has no new content. I have a feeling Elden Ring might struggle on the base 4 in which case a 5 would be a better investment than a 4 Pro.

The ps5 has been worth it for the shorter load times on GTAV alone.
Aside from that I’m kind of butthurt I went through so much trouble to get one.

Hence why I joked with the person I know who bought one about how they went to all that trouble and all they do with it is play Witcher 3’s PS4 version on it.
About the only actual PS5 games they have played were the ones they came with Plus, IIRC, as they have put far more time into the free PS4 games instead.

I got my ps5 a day or two before Thanksgiving. I opened it about a month ago. Finally playing FF7 reboot. I'm pumped I can finally play Horizon Zero Dawn.

It would not be because we are anti-PS, just would not fit in. We barely have time to play the games we have on Xbox with school and sports.
Honestly though, I would actually sell it at cost to one of my friends needing one. I would also not use that money for the kids college fund and probably put it towards something stupid. My advice to OP though is to sell it at maximum profit and put that money into a college fund. That is the right thing to do.
2nd graders do not give a crap about a PS5 or Xbox.

I don't know lol. My 2nd grader is all about some roblox. Prodigy. And minecraft haha. I just mentioned her age because she is the youngest. Her older sister's mainly play on rainy days or late nights during summer and holidays. We have 2 xboxes 2 switches and they all have hand me down laptops. I told the wife I wouldn't pay the money for one but heck it's free so something different to do sometimes. I hadn't thought about all the old titles and things. I am sure I will hang on to it because she has already told her sisters and grandparents that's "it's hers" when they tell her she should sell it lol

As far as games you can dl rt away with ps plus.
Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Final Fantasy XV, God of War, monster hunter world, person 5,ratchet and clank, uncharted 4, resident evil 7, last of us remastered.
Infamous and batman are good too.
