Phones are not something I fan boy, I had an iPhone from the original up through the 4S, followed by Windows Phone 8, and Android since.

Actually, I just learned something new thanks to Buckeye.
The PS4 doesn't require the Eye to use the Voice Commands, can use a headset to navigate your PS4 by Voice Commands like in the video he linked.
Sweetness.

Yeah the S4 is a pretty shitty/cheap device made of plastic. Not a fan and I love Samsung.
LG, and HTC make better phones than Samsung.

I just think voice controls are stupid myself.
My new Samsung TV has the voice and gesture controls built in and I've never used them once.
I can pick up the remote and say "Hi TV" into it and it will turn on, and I still never use it. Just pick it up and hit power.
I think it is cool that the PS4 can do with the free headset included with it, or any other headset, and doesn't require the Eye or a Kinect.
I think using it via a headset would be much better than a Kinect type device.

My Nexus 5 would run circles around it however and is the best phone on the market now, but it also came out a week ago so has the latest and greatest inside it and being built by Google runs Android the smoothest. KitKat is awesome, best Android update in a long time.

And your remote can sense who you are and bring up all your personalized settings and apps? Granted, you may be the only person using your console, so that may not be an issue for you. Either way you can't deny its a cool feature(disregarding whether you're forced to buy it or not).

Well of course it's sweetness now that tPS4 can do it. Before that? Complete gimmick.

It's still a gimmick, I just said that above. My TV has it, never use it at all.
If that same TV was available cheaper without the "Smart" functions I would have gotten it instead.

You linked some voice command video thinking it was so badass and then didn't realize the PS4 has the same voice control and doesn't require a $100 accessory to use it. Just a headset, that is included for free with the console. Boom.

You don't think UI is a major factor for people when they are similar everywhere else? Lolz.
One of the most important things is the UI, and tiles suck. Windows 8 and WP8 confirmed that, people hate them.
