PS4/PS5 game recs

Was able to snag a PS5 from Walmart and looking for a game rec for myself and my 8 year old son.
I got him Madden 21 already for Christmas, but,wanted to grab another one. he has played the lego games a bunch and messed with Fortnite and Minecraft (but said he doesn't play those anymore).
For myself ive played and loved GOT, Skyrim games, Witcher 3 , Horizon , RDR2 etc.
I was thinking Spiderman for him and Valhalla for myself. Was gonna wait a little bit for cyberpunk to fix the issues before jumping into that.

I snagged COD, Assassin's Creed, and The Pathless so far. I'll most likely get Spiderman and be done. I have Ghost of Tsushima that I want to replay on the PS5 as well as TLOU2.

If you want to really take advantage of the next gen capabilities, go with Demon's Souls. Looks beautiful on PS5.

I have no clue about games since I sort of wanted one and got caught up in the hype.
My daughter is 7 and wants a 2 player game so I'm getting sackboy (sp?) which seems like a knock-off Mario in a burlap sack.
My wife was like you get one game and can play when we are in the shower or a little after I fall asleep. I'm definitely not single & 20 living on Brightside haha.
Fyi Lew, I love Richmond Hill..we lived in Savannah and I worked at a large chemical plant in Riceboro..loved your town !

Basically everything on the list of free shite is M or close to it except Ratchet and Clank. Good games but not exactly family fare.

Did you play the most recent God of War? I haven't played Valhalla yet but Odyssey was awesome too.

The son is 8. You're right, I should have clarified those would be decent options for him, rather than his kid.
