New to PS4 and just finished the Uncharted Series and now playing The Order and wow just wow what great games. I have missed out only playing Xbox..

Have to admit I was surprised how great some of the games look. Uncharted 4 looked amazing as does Horizon.

The Last of Us (Remastered version). It supports 4K and HDR. Amazing...

I would get the TV first. Then wait a bit to see if the PS5 is on the horizon. They might push their next console up a bit with Scorpio coming out later this year.
PS4 Pro is an upgrade but not worth getting nailed if the PS5 comes out in the next 12 months.

Let's just hope that it's backwards compatible with my PS4 games.
My current problem is that my PS4 ejects discs on its own accord. Doesn't even wait for me to save. Just pops the fricker out and watches me rage quit. Sometimes you can play for 4 hours and nothing will happen, other times it's in the first 30 minutes. I've tried all the online fixes but the next step is for me to get it repaired. So I either wait for the PS5 and spend $80-$150 (depending on where I go) to get my PS4 repaired or spend $240 on the Pro while trading in my PS4.

Looks like the article I read was clickbait.
Looked up another article and it looks like 2020 for PS5. Thought they might speed that up a bit to combat scorpio but I guess they feel they have dominance in the actual games so Scorpio won't eat into their base.
So, if your PS4 is broken then yes, go ahead and spend the extra money to get the better system.
