i'm just giving you my perspective
I don't know the "oilfield" well, as I've never worked in or around it
all of the companies I referred to wouldn't have much use for a PETE if I had to guess
I'm not saying they never hire them, I just don't know what purpose they would serve for this type of work.
Seems like you would need to find something in drilling/production whereas I work in refining/petrochem's

i took my chances leaving the infrastructure field to go into petrochem work
I haven't regretted it for a second
its supposed to be boom or bust with us too, but it's been solid for my time here
no worries anyway...next week I start the job I will retire from
I will have some of the best benefits and job security anyone could hope for in the field

I think JJ's might be my favorite out of the semi fast food deli sandwich shops. Better bread, faster service, and you get more of a sandwich and a bigger bag of chips.
