Ps3 games that kids can cut their teeth on?

Busted out my old ps3 because my kids have been playing games on my iPad and figured they would like to play on a console. I couldn’t find my old games so I bought a lego Batman game and need for speed. NFS is pretty hard and the LEGO game is full of missions that even I need to look up how to solve.
Are there any old ps3 games that are similar to Mario and sonic where you just run through busting shite up without trying to solve some complicated method of moving on?
At this point on LEGO Batman they’re stuck in a world and honestly content in playing hide and seek and tag with split screen.

This made me think back to when I was a kid getting Pokémon yellow on game boy and not even being able to figure out how to get out of the house that you start the game in for a least an entire day

Mini ninjas, I ran into this trying to solve your question. Super forgiving game play and pretty well done. I tried them on little big planets and still got lots of calls for help.
