MLB should just do what the NFL did. Make these teams spend their money, not play farm team to the rest of the league.

the pirates are just your team for this year right? You don't have a set baseball favorite IIRC? Just wondering

The M's are fricking garbage

The Cubs ruin baseball seasons. Once it comes June and they're already out, it's time to pick a team for the year so I can actually enjoy the season.

It's pretty sad when a Cubs fan starts rooting for a team that hasn't had a winning record since 1992.

It's fun to find a team like that though. These dudes might actually drag the franchise out of the cellar for the first time in a long time, and that might attract better free agents, grow the fan base, and they might become relevant again.

I'm with ya. Good group of young guys. Didn't they get a good chunk of their team from the Yankees over the last few seasons?

yea..but i can't switch loyalty especially do a team in the division.
I can watch baseball every night and not have a rooting interest in the outcome.
I do find myself pulling for certain teams in the playoffs.

I've come to just accept the fact the Cubs suck and the turmoil of each season. B/c it was all worth it that one year! I remember how great that feeling was when we were so close to the world series.

This whole division needs to improve. As good as the Reds and Brewers want to think they are, the Central is still weak sauce in the NL. Having the Pirates as a strong contender would be huge.

I'm still a Cubs fan forever, but like I said...I don't like to have my baseball season ruined. Because I love the game so much, I just put the Cubs shite behind me and try to enjoy the rest of the season.

the pirates somewhat have a cycle like this though, develop some young raw talent into some aspiring talent, and then sell it to the highest bidder

But they're not selling...and I think they have new ownership. I like when a team like this hangs on...it's fresh, it's not the status quo Yankees/Red Sox crap.

Didn't their owner come out and say that he "might" make some moves? John Kruk was hilarious, wearing a Bucs cap, DEMANDING that they try to win now.
