I'm a Cards fan, but I love PNC Park. I worked up in Pittsburgh one summer and I caught a few games. I could get really great seats for only $27. I figure that might have been because hardly anyone was going. I don't want them to beat out St. Louis, but I'm glad that beautiful ballpark finally has a decent team to play in it.

I have a CSB, but I'm sure many of you won't care.
Was at a game at PNC against the Padres. It was my pastor's birthday, and texted him saying that I was going, and that if I got a foul ball, I would give it to him. Pirates were up big, top of 9, and my friend wanted to go, but since a lot of people were gone, I decided to move up to the front row by the field, just past the tarp. Sure enough, a Padre batter shoots one my way, it hits the tarp, I stick my hand out, and it stuck. I celebrate like a moron, take a pic, and send it to my pastor. I deliver.
I had one guy want to take a picture of him holding the ball for some reason. Whatever, I let him. But the worst part was while I waiting for the game to end, this little boy walks up and says "Mister. I've never caught a foul ball and my mom wanted me to ask if I could have yours."
A lot of you are parents. Would you ever send your kid to a stranger to do that?? I was just bewildered, and kind of felt bad, because I flat out told him "I promised my pastor that I would give him this ball for his birthday", which of course sounds like the worst lie in the history of lying. I got over feeling bad for the boy and moved on to being pissed at his mom for doing that. Oh well. I had a picture of the ball, but it was on my now deleted myspace account.
