I'm trying to set up this PS. Set up my name on it. Connected to the internet. Started the system update and made it to 58% and then it shut off and told me I had a corrupt hard drive and to reformat. I did. It then said restore. I did. Now it won't connect to internet at all. Any suggestions?
I finally got tired of messing with it and decided to start fresh and do a complete reformat instead of a quick one. It says it will take 9 hours. FML. Should that help?

I've never had this problem, but from what I've heard, just restart the download instead of reformatting and all that shite. Didn't you say you just got your PS3 new? It shouldn't need to reformat.

Yeaits new. I thought it had never been turned on but he had a profile on it so I guess he tried it out. I couldnt just redownload the updste. when it shut off thats when the other issues popped up. im just reformatting to see. if it doesnt work, oh well. I didnt pay anything for it anyway
