I'm also getting my wifey a portable speaker for her iphone so she can jam to whatever dross she likes to listen to. I have a sweet deal on a LogiTech speaker for $40. Wondering if she'll be pissed that it's not an iHome. Cnet reviews are decent for the LT one.
ETA: The LT ones also have an AUX jack for superior devices.

thats what i bought mine, i got the cheapest toshiba i could find
i've had great luck with toshiba

i know its not a core processor, but i dont think it will matter to her
