Holy crap, yes. I remember doing that, then forgetting to send back the monthly card saying I "DIDN'T" want the next CD, and getting it in the mail shortly thereafter. So backwards.


I still remember the novelty of being able to skip between tracks.

I still remember my first mix cd when cd burners were new. Holy hell I felt like a DJ. Or when it took 10-15 mins to download one song. Simpler times.

You're dragging me by the hair down memory lane. My dad actually had one in our car that worked sparingly. "I didn't think that song was THAT long."

Having to actually space out the gaps between the songs. My first one took me all night, but held on to that CD for years.

i think it only worked on the original tapes you bought

if they were copied, i guess the copy didnt get the little notch or whatever that told the tape deck to stop bc it was a new track

i remember burning my first mix on a CD-RW, ran out to the driveway and stuck in my truck and it wouldnt play

I recently got back into buying CDs

I don't know why really but it has been nice to have the actually CD again
