The defense played as well as they could have considering they didn't have any offense helping them stay off the field, but make no mistake that Bama and McCarron were on fire last night and they picked on Matthieu and succeeded.

That's because LSU's D shut him down. They didn't get the run game going until late and the D was tired due to being on the field the entire game.
