well you're a shitty gift giver
i'm always afraid that gift card will go to waste in that persons wallet
i'll usually tape the gift receipt to a gift if i'm unsure...that way its essentially a gift card thats worth more than a piece of plastic

I might be a shitty gift giver, but I know that I love getting gift cards. It's like somebody says here's my $50, now go to Best Buy and do whatever you want with it.
