Haven’t started it yet but can’t wait. Supposedly just as good as the original even if it doesn’t quite improve as much as people wanted

Playing it on PS5.

I'm only a few hours in, but thus far it's incredibly unoptomized. 30 FPS. No performance mode option. Struggles in parts to stay at 30 FPS.

The gameplay, I'm just not sure works with the larger, more open areas that this game has in comparison to its predecessor.

Checkpoints are interesting. Sometimes it literally places you right in front of a guard when you re-load.

So far, it feels like this game has a lot more padding than the original. Larger, more open areas to trudge through equals longer amounts of time in between major story beats.

The game is pretty good but it’s a technical nightmare on ps5.

I mean, we are spoiled since last gen. It isn't like those early ports of PS3 games where incompetent developers butchered PS3 ports of multiplatform titles (bugs, choppy framerate, low resolution, ec), but it is not a stable 30 FPS. The game does not look that much better than the original, so I chalk it up to just being unoptimized as opposed to any major faults of the hardware.

Sucks that you guys are havin issues on the ps5. Im playing on mid tier pc on mostly low settings and the game is beautiful and i havent had many issues noticing fps dropping.

You can tell this game was a labor of love. The story/environments are all so well done.
