Awesome how within the last year this board's PC gamers have really grown. This time last year it was maybe 5-6 active ppl with real builds and not just laptops.
WIth consoles just modded APUs(PS4 will be impressive with GDDR5 though), makes building a PC the smarter choice.

Do apus have their own memory or does it use system memory?

System memory. It would be great if you could purchase iTX/mATX boards with intergrated GDDR5 for APUs. That will really make them shine.

It most defiantly would, but you could get 7850 performance from 5800Ks in a much much smaller form factor. (I'm guessing with a modest OC)

I gamed on a laptop for a while. Through school and what not. I really want to buy a gaming laptop, a MSI or ASUS one.. just can't seem to get the performance im looking for in a 15" model. The 17" models are silly as my preferred laptop size is actually 13" (MBP). Soo idk..
What do you have?

Hell yeah. My IRL friends won't come out and play. They "outgrew" it. (AKA their Radeon 9800 pro is no longer good)
