I'll be at Children's Hospital most of the day, so someone read it and let me know how useful it is. I find that most guides out there for part selection focus more on compatibility rather than emphasizing prioritization in performance for each component.
Their articles are generally OK when they aren't obviously paid reviews.

I used to think Linus was one of the smarter ones out there, but I feel like he's starting to get fat checks or a truckload of free parts from a few select vendors for his good word. That's the problem with informative industry content on the web. There are only so many ways to make money from producing it, and unfortunately the easiest way also presents the biggest conflict of interest.

Then he used an 850W PSU for a 4930K/SLi Ti. WTF?
Per Corsair link on my 1200i im pulling nearly 1200W in 3DMark11 and in some games like Last Light, Crysis and even Tomb Raider, also pull really close to that. Yes the cards are all OC'd but the OC is needed to push consistent locked frames at 1440, so just imagine 2160.
Linus is a tool, he shocks me in some of his videos.

absolutely. The house they are working out of now was bought specifically for an office and filming studio for his channel. He also said in his latest live stream that if they went strictly off of what they made off of google adsense, then his guys would only make around $20k a year. He has 5 guys other than himself working for him. Yeah, he's making a ton of money.

I building my GF a little gaming rig since she has been interested in gaming with me ever since we purchased a WiiU. Haven't told her yet, but will use one of my spare 1440 Koreans and spare parts. I do however want to buy her brand new Headset/Keyboard/Mouse.
The build will probably use one of my spare 7870s or 680 and 4670K.

Upgraded phone and tablet today. HTC ONE M8 and Samsung Galazy Note 10.1 2014 edition. Maybe now I can play some real games on my devices.
