Dude, you are going to spend all of that money and get that huge arse case only to get an H60 cooler?

I'm really looking at this more as a project than a build.
-I'm definitely without a doubt going to go multi gpu asap when I decide what to do. ETA: might just splurge when I actually start ordering parts and double up.
-I want the case for the future when I put a loop in. I also like having the space. What cooler would you suggest?

That and why a 2011 for single GPU? Only benefit will be larger cache for OCing. I would rather go with a newer chip TBH.

I think he is pretty new, Coyote, and trying to learn. His first builds looked like he thought if you bought the most expensive stuff that it would be bad arse not even thinking about optimizing and efficiency.
He had $250 ram on one build the other day

10-4.. upgrade to a 4930K in the fall!
If you really are set on water cooling. Look into some CaseLabs cases.

Blue keeps telling him to get a 2011 because 1155 is dead he says. Not sure why he isn't doing Hazwell.

I'm just really lost when it comes to the hardware right now. I havent built a pc in like 7 yrs. I've been laptop'n it and not paying attn to hardware at all really. I starting doing research on current stuff a week ago.
But my current laptop has bit the dust when it comes to gaming and I want to get off the ground asap as well.
Forgive me while I get my bearings.

I rather invest in a new chipset. He will have a lot of good board options with all the bells and whistles.

Are you going to OC right away? If so I would look into this or something similar. I ordered the H70 today but I only have a mid tower. If I had the room like you do I would get the H110 until I did a full loop.
Great price there. That are a H100 would work great.
Remember more surface area = better cooling.

No biggie. I learn something new everyday about hardware from this board. There are plenty of people here that will steer you in the right direction.
The only thing is everyone has their opinions they will stick with. Ultimately you just have to make up your mind based off of the info you get here and off the net and go for it.

I agree with you. I would do a new chipset especially if I were dumping that much money into a board and CPU already.

Yes, I dropped the cpu from the 3930k with this intention. I guess I should use the room if I insist on having it, you make a good point

I might just go with two 7950's instead and then just wait and to buy all new cards when I go to liquid loop.

I've never done a full loop so I may be wrong but I think you could always use that radiator set up later when you do one. If so it's not like it's a waste to get it now.

Pendulum. For frick's sake. I didn't write that wall of text for my health.
