Yea I look at that site and initially bought an auction from there but it all gets bid way too high for what it is. I found another place with cheaper pricing but it requires a resale certificate to buy from which I just so happen to keep mine active for reasons like this.
A lot of it is in pallet loads too for like $5K-$20K a pop so it keeps the smaller Ebay people away.

My 7870 ghz is on sale right now from $230 to $175 plus the 4 free games I can sell. I'm thinking about getting it to crossfire since its so cheap, any thoughts? How would that setup do with eventual 1440 setup?

I saw that sale this morning. I sold my 4 games by splitting them up for $40 on Ebay.
I also sold that same card on Ebay the other day for $210 with no games. I would buy it if I were you. I think it's a card that will hold it's value even if it doesn't do what you want at 1440P

Depending on the game obviously but at 1080 I got about 50+ playing tomb raider and 60+ playing bioshock. Metro 2033 made me lower the settings a tad.

The lower end CL coolers like the h60 and h70 arent very good.
I would put up the extra money and get thr NZXT x60, corsair h1xx or the swiftech h220

It's temporary, Blue. For like a month or two. Not spending extra for something that will be sold on Ebay or in my crate of spare parts in a matter of weeks.

Going full tower as soon as I get rid of some furniture so my new desk will fit and I will take my cooling needs from there. I still need to settle on a vid card/cards. I am using 1 Sapphire 7870GHz for now. I sold all the other ones I had with the exception of one I have coming back from Gigabyte.
Also for those of you wondering, because I know you all were holding your breathe, I finally spoke to the person that collects on NSF checks at the DA's office here and she told me I can still collect on all of them. The only bad thing is the one guy that owed me over $2K got sent to 7 years prison a few years ago for bank fraud. Best I can do with him is bring up new charges and get a judgement against him though he will have to make resitution one day she said.

I have had two mid towers now and shite feels cramped in them. Especially when I had two cards in Crossfire the other day. Hell just one Gigabyte card is hard pressed to fit in my current case. I want more room and to be able to do a little more with my wire management also. I bought a inexspensive case last time anyway knowing that when I built my desk I would be going to full.
I am not saying I will do it right away but I am going to purchase a case with eventually adding a full loop in mind.
I screwed some rivets out and cut some shite up on my old case to make myself a test bench. It's ghetto fabulous.

If you do switch to 1440p, you may find that the single 7870 will have trouble keeping up at high settings on some of the newer games. I mean, it's certainly not a bad card. It's pretty close to a 7950 if you overclock. But once you do go with 1440p, you may want to up the power to run games at max settings just to experience the awesomeness of that resolution.

I am fine putting judgements on people for now. When they sell something of value, lose their property to repo auction, die and their heirs have to do a succession, etc I will get my money.
I would rather have the cash obviously but I have had a few judgements work out for me in the past so it's not a big deal. You just have to remember to renew them every 10 years or they fall off.
