The roads are DRY with the rain stopping a few hours back, but they shut EVERYTHING down here and put us on a 6:00pm curfew.

Yep, 4 months out the year you basically can't go outside.

My yard is muddy as frick though. Worse than when it rains because a rain usually happens fast then the ground can dry. With ice it's just saturating the ground and shite won't dry.

Yeah, the whole week. We pay each week in advance on a Monday, but the daycare was closed Tuesday and Wednesday, and will be closed tomorrow. And by closed, I mean nobody is there, and all of their employees are hourly.

I know a guy that pays for it all summer just to hold their spot even though his wife is a teacher and could keep her. He just doesn't want to lose his spot.
