Unfortunately it's in-store only and there are none in Louisiana (and I'm not driving five hours to Houston) but if you live in a state with one it's probably worth the trip as these things sell for $320+ on every other online retailer.

Where the frick does Microcenter buy their hardware that they can be consistently cheaper than Newegg? I mean, this deal is ridiculous, but even on normal days they have the best prices for several components. I've always been under the impression that most PC hardware has a low margin even when you buy direct from the manufacturer.

Yeah I always kick myself when I see these Microcenter promos. And here I was thinking of getting an i5-4670k for $220. Going to hold out and see what comes on Black Friday.

There might be microcenter deals, but online shops have never been too keen on deep discounts for core parts as blue said (mobos, CPUs, video cards, PSUs, RAM, etc). Deals on those items are year round with promos and rebates. Even newegg's cyber monday seems to always be TVs, refurb hard drives, and combo deals that amount to less than 10% savings. I read somewhere that Newegg's profit margin is under 2% (lower than amazon). It's just a different market. Memory is a commodity, for example, and can double in price at the drop of a hat and affects the price of a number of components.
