well sir i would say the last option would be to wall mount it if you can, just to put it a little farther from you

Check out this chart. It doesn't have 1440p, but you can kind of guess it would fall somewhere between 1080p and 4k (since 4k is 2160p).



Obviously, the smaller the monitor the closer you can sit.

As the chart shows, a 27" 1080p monitor will allow you to sit 3-4 feet away for full benefit. Any closer, and you'll start to notice pixels. 1440p should allow you sit as close as 2.5-3 feet. And honestly, any closer than that, you'd have trouble seeing the far edges of the screen.

1440p monitor straight ahead, and my 27" 1080p secondary on the right. It's extremely cramped, with the keyboard at the edge and the monitor not too far behind it. I had to back up to take the picture. I tend to lean in during a game too, I generally wind up with a viewing distance of just over 2-2.5 feet, which is pretty much the closest you'd want to sit to any 27" monitor, even a 4k.

I think you'll be alright at 2 feet if you get a 1440p. Maybe just lean back a little.

I did a trade with someone on r/HardwareSwap and he was supposed to send me an FX6100. I just got it in today and he sent me an FX6300 and this CPU Cooler.
