The day after I order memory from newegg, they send me a promo code for 10% off memory.

It looks like Phil might be purchasing my i7 and mobo. He asked about them yesterday evening in a post on the previous page. Waiting for him to reply to this thread so I can contact him. But once my new RAM arrives tomorrow, I will have 16GB (4 x 4gb) of Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 1.5v available for sale. It's two of these kits: LINK (they worked perfectly together, of course). Got them about a year ago and just ran them with the stock XMP.

EDIT: When I was shopping around for memory the last few days, I read a lot of reviews on Newegg. It's alarming how many people don't understand IMCs and XMP profiles. They buy 1600MHz or faster RAM and flip the frick out with a one-star review when, surprise, they see 1333MHz in the BIOS on the first boot.

That's a shame. I was ready to make you a sweet deal.

I got it as a store return from someone that never tested it. I put it on my test bench today and it is all OK. No socket change out or anything.

We got cash ready man!

if you'd split the Ram in 2x4gb I'd buy a set. Hes got a budget of about $600 and that cpu/mobo would do wonders

If I didn't have to buy a processor I would be very interested. I would only have the budget for an i3 or non OC-able i5

Sure, I'll sell the 8GB kits separately. I figure most buyers would want that anyway.

In good faith, I'll give Phil a little more time to check this thread tonight.

I don't really know what to price the RAM for. It's $72.99 on newegg, but that's an inflated price since Corsair has a new Vengeance Pro line, and RAM prices are higher at the moment. I have no idea how much I paid for it last year, so just make me a reasonable offer.

Would you take $235 (if phil doesn't respond) or $40 for that ram?

not unless you just have money to burn. cant imagine you getting much of a performance increase from upgrading it.

Yep, especially since you're in BR so I don't have to ship or deal with paypal fees.
