He had that ^
He ended up buying a Corsair HX1200, which probably was a little overkill for his build, but it will give him some room in case he decides to SLI, watercool, upgrade to an i9, etc..
EDIT: We put everything together last night, and it booted up on the first try into the BIOS
The Noctua Air Cooler is fricking huge though. We had to slightly elevate one of the fans because the Corsair Vengeance memory didnt clear it. The fan still covers the space of the heatsink, and so far temps look pretty decent.

My main has an AX1200i and it is barely enough at times. But I also have 12fans , D5 pump and OC.
If he plans on going SLi in the future. Its not a bad choice.

Now I just need a second one
Posted on 4/2/18 at 1:32 pm to bluebarracuda
Grats. Just need blocks!
Posted on 4/2/18 at 1:56 pm to bluebarracuda
Idk how you guys handle loud gpu fans. Plus can push an OC. Your card should be able to hit 2050 pretty easily if on a block. That OC really helps.

I don't hear shite with my headphones on
Posted on 4/2/18 at 2:12 pm to bluebarracuda
Yeah. Guess I'm hyper sensitive. But with 2 blowing it sounds like a fckking tornado in the room.
Can't hear anything else. Each their own.

I have so the fans in my case on a silent fan curve. My 1080 fans wouldn't get above 30%
Posted on 4/2/18 at 2:41 pm to bluebarracuda
Yeah but 1080s use far less watts.
Edt: I also keep my case elevated and closer to me. So that is another issue.

My AC is so loud too. That's probably a reason why I don't hear the PC
Posted on 4/2/18 at 3:15 pm to bluebarracuda
Yeah, I never really hear mine unless I have my case fan controller full blast.

Our new house will have a separate unit just for my computer/office/gaming room.
I envy you with a cold gaming room.

My wife keeps ours so cold at night that I have to shut the vent in my man room to keep from freezing to death.

I have 2x32" 4K monitors, 1x55" 4K TV, main PC, NAS, Server, 3 RasPis, PFSense box in a 11x19 room. Gets hot quickly. Hot air gets trapped in here.
Not counting Wii U and Switch. Our next house no doubt needs a separate HVAC system.
Edt: The air gets trapped in here. Just needs a better space.

Sounds like you need a vent system more than a separate unit, or allocate a closet for the servers.

This is more fact than rumor. We knew this for several months now. I welcome it. My TITAN X (Pascals) will be 2yrs old this summer. Then with the lack of SLi support lately, I welcome a single card solution.

Next-gen GeForce 11/20-series cards will reportedly use GDDR6, could be unveiled this summer

This doesn’t mean the new cards will launch as soon as this summer, but it certainly suggests we won’t see them any time before July. It's likely that Nvidia will reveal precisely when they’ll arrive and further details of the GeForce 11 (or GeForce 20) line in just a few months.
GDDR6, which will reportedly be found in Nvidia’s Tesla and Quadro parts as well as its new GeForce cards, will boast bandwidth upwards of 16Gb/s. It will run at 1.35v and be 20 percent more expensive to produce than current cards, so expect the 1170 and 1180 (or 2070 and 2080) to cost noticeably more than the 10-series launch prices.

We are getting Gigabyte internet today at my home in Thibodaux. It will be cheaper than the 400mbps we have at my work apartment in Lake Charles.
Oddly, it is cheaper for the 1.0GBps pkg than the 100MBps pkg with AT&T. Now you are in contract for 1yr with the 1.0GBps pkg but found this odd. It is only $80 bucks with modem rental.
Anyone else experience the same pkg deals in your area?
