Did you use some arm mounts for your crossovers or the stands that came with them? If you used arm mounts, which one? I'm probably going to mount them on dual arm mounts

While my walls are semi-open, I am going to network my house. Thinking 4 ports in the living room and 2 in the other rooms for a total of 12. What kind of Cat6 can I get away with running in the walls? UTP Solid CMR? Hope so. Monoprice has 1000FT for $99 LINK

Do it.

I have 1 cable going to the living room which hits a 4port switch. Same in set up in BR. At one time I had plans to move my router in the living room but not anymore. I'm renting my house for the next year and once I move back to LA in 12-18months, we will start building another house. So the plan is to never live in that home again.

Kinda of depressing.

We speaking the 1440s or 2160s? Both came with stands but plan to purchase some arms for these 2160s.

If you go in my attic, there is a $300 Ergotron dual monitor mount I haven't touch. Still in the box. Purchased way way back in probably 2012 when going from 3x1080s to 2x1440s but never used.

I'm talking the 1440s I'm buying off ya. I don't have much room for stands on my desk, so I want the mounted by an arm if possible.

Hey did you order your wife's S7 off Amazon? I'm confused which one to purchase. The Unlocked NA version is $770 and the International version is $617 (Was $558 yesterday).

She cracked her phone last week and we just want to hold her off until the new Nexus. Will the International version work? Can I get a refund if returning within 30days?

Yeah, I got it from Amazon. I bought the first one, the international version. It's the one that's rootable. But it also does not have a warranty unless you buy one with sqtrade. Amazon would refund within 30 days I'm sure, though.

16port! You are doing single wires to every device? This is a nice dumb switch though.

I suggest 1 wire per room and have a 4port switch at the drop if needed. A lot less cable needs to be ran.

Doing 2 ports per room, except 4 in the living room. For the rooms, I'm counting on having hard wired fire TVs or rokus or whatever, plus desktops when they are older. Fewer than 16 ports but needed more than 10.

Is there an issue using an unmanaged switch for this?

No I would use a dumb switch. No reason to limit certain connections to certain ports.

So I can get a xeon e5 1620v1 for $40. Problem is, x79 boards are fricking expensive still ($200+ for a decent board).

Is it worth the upgrade from my 2500k at 4.5ghz? I'm running quad channel ram and SLI 970s on it

No. IPC is lower for single core.

Cable on my Xbox 360 controller going out. Trying to decide between wireless Xbox one and DS4. Any recommendations?

Thanks. Am I better off getting the wireless dongle or buying a bluetooth adapter for my PC? Assuming this even works with windows 7?

Just hooked up my steam link. Ive only played the golf club, but I shot one of my best rounds with it

The controller isn't as sturdy feeling as the Xbone controllers, but I like it so far. Civ V will be an interesting test for it

Can I use my new XBONE S controller on my PC? Or need an adapter? Haven't looked into that, but it's so so much better than the 360 controller it's not even funny.

You can hardwire or purchase the dongle.

Edt: Yes the XBONE controller is so much nicer. Esp for driving in games.
