Thanks again. I went ahead and ordered it while waiting for my dell order to cancel. I can pick it up on tueday instead of waiting a month. Hopefully the monitors wont be far behind.

All hail hurricane.

No problem buddy, it's a rough time for anyone trying to buy or build PCs so if I have the time to help anyone out by saving them a buck I'll gladly do it! Hope you enjoy it.

You could have built one for less than half that

A quick search shows the 3060 going for $900+, so I seriously doubt that.

Your specs are fine for that cost.
Processor is one behind the most up-to-date gen and quite frankly more than you need - but hey! A bit of futureproofing.

WAY more RAM than you need, but still- no harm in having that much.

Vid card is good and runs $900+ on Amazon.

Storage is plenty sufficient.

Looks like a decent enough deal to me.
Enjoy your new computer!

If you need it today, sure. But everyone I know who wanted a gpu in the past year has gotten a gpu. If you wanted a 3080, it took longer than everything else, but you could still get one eventually. The lower skus weren't terrible if you were willing to stick with it.

I managed to get my hands on a 3070fe, a 3080fe, and a 3080 FTW3 Ultra, all without trying that hard.

Nah, just making the point that, at this point, GPUs take work to get, but it's not impossible. Things are a hell of a lot better now than they were this time last year.

Not a bad deal considering the current climate for GPUs. A lot of Dell stuff is proprietary though.

I don't know if you messed up, but I just built this last week for $1,057.00:

i5-11600K
32GB Ram (2x16)
WD Black SN850 1TB M.2 Gen 4 SSD
WD Black 4TB HDD
Wifi 6/BT 5.2 Card
Case/PS/MB (obviously)

I'm currently using integrated graphics as I don't have a GPU card. No, I am not gaming on it yet.

What's done is done. I cancelled the OP and ordered the one hurricane linked with 3 years geeksquad protection ( probably dumb unless i drop it down the stairs and break everything)

I got it today instead of dec 20th as dell had told me.

I got the phillips headset and mic that's always recommended here and I ordered a chair and desk combo for $600 off i found on toms hardware black friday list. It will be here thursday.
They even threw in a free lumbar pillow .

Pc came with M/KB but i also ordered a keyboard for $25 off on newegg. Ill be ready to go this evening on my fold out table and walmart rolly chair.
