In my mind, the game ends when shep passes out before ascending to meet the catalyst.
Im telling myself that the interaction with the catalyst was a fever dream.
And what the frick was the Normandy doing out in space anyways? Wasn't the entire party down on earth? I'd think the Normandy would have been somewhere just outside of earths orbit. That part of the ending made no sense to me.

yes, Liara was mind fricking me down on earth and she magically appeared on the normandy when it crash landed on some planet. That's why I know there will be another game dealing with Sheppard/Joker/Liara/Ashley

Stayed up all night to beat this garbage. Feels like I wasted all those hours through three games, all that investment was a waste. All three options were the antithesis of what Sheppard stood for. Just as well should have let the damn reapers win. What the hell kill all synthetics which includes not only the reapers and get but anyone with implants, control the reapers and destroy the relays, or rewrite everyone's DNA. That's bullshite. Halo endings were much much better.

One thing that bothered me is that massing up a giant army amounted to jack shite.
My galactic readiness was through the roof and I had everyone except the quarians and the salarians backing me. It felt like this contributed nothing to the endgame.
Eta: some decisions my character made were rendered completely useless as well. Most ridiculous example being that I destroyed the collector base and yet Cerberus got all the reaper tech anyway. Including the baby reaper. Way to undermine my decision making bioware.

So I cured the genophage on tuchanka. Very awesome sequence. Mordin went to the top of the tower, and sacrificed himself. I came clean and told eve about the salarian counselors diabolic plan to trick the krogan.
My question, had I let mordin die at the end of mass effect 2, would I have been deprived of this awesomeness? Clearly yes, since mordin would be dead. But if mordin was dead, how would this sequence have played out? Would the krogan just be screwed? would I not be able to secure a krogan/turian alliance? Would another random salarian stepped up to the plate? I don't think so because mordin "had to do it, no one else would get it right" (paraphrasing his words)

So does that Galactic Readiness percentage mean anything in this game? I'm not giving EA extra money on other stuff to raise that number and if it has an effect on the ending then that's bullshite.

why would you be giving them extra money? Just play multiplayer to get your galactic readiness to 100%

I was excited to pick up the two previous games in the series again to do a full playthrough, but now I'm not so sure that I give a shite about doing that anymore.
That weak resolution really killed my enthusiasm.
I am wondering what Bioware's response will be. It seems like the reception to the ending has either been lukewarm or negative depending on who you ask. Not seeing much in the positive column.

I too am anxious to see how BioWare reacts to having a majority of the vocal fans vilifying the endings.
