It feels similar to the level of detail of a city in an Assassin's Creed game. It's all the more impressive when you consider all that exists outside the city walls in addition to Oxenfurt all on the same map with no loading screens in between.

Plus you can go in to almost every building

Dropped the coin and made it to Skellige.

Cool place. The islands at night with the moonlight are so tranquil

I played like all day yesterday, went to Novigrad to meet triss did a couple missions and got out because its too big and intimidating

I did a lot of the side stuff and ?markers but I guess I was to high a level because some weren't giving XP

Im a 12 I think and now that I have more slots available ive set up mutagens and skills and its getting easier, upgraded quen doe

Right when I get into the game I have a 2 week vacay glad I was able to play a lot yesterday though

oh and I killed kiera and got worried so i read up on it. For a certain achievement you have to send her to the fort or whatever. Is there anything else like that? Im a little slut when it comes to achievements

I was fighting a werewolf last night and the motherfricker kept healing and whooping my arse. WTF? How do i keep it from healing itself? It was some side quest, don't remember the name. (lvl 6, btw)

I did all the question marks in my first playthrough, but I don't think I would ever do them again. The only reason I did them to begin with is because I ran into a gamebreaking bug that didn't let the story advance and couldn't do anything but side missions and ?'s for two weeks

That reminds me I read something about NG+

is that like a way to keep your character but replay the game to keep ranking and unlocking everything? I was really confused

That werewolf wrecks everyone so don't feel bad.

Using oils and potions help a lot. Most of the time you really don't need them, but I recall that werewolf really caused me problems.

Same here. I remember having to do it 3 or 4 times before I beat him. I was a lower level also so I'm sure that didn't help.

NG+ is just where you restart your game from the beginning and the difficulty is upped a little bit.

I haven't started NG+ on my game because I'm waiting to finish the DLC's.

However, I know in Dark Souls and what not you could do a NG+ and your character's level stays the same and you can carry over a certain amount of weapons and armor. Not sure how it works on the Witcher.

Glad to see I'm not the only one to get beat down by the werewolf in the velen swamp near Downraven, guarding that tree with the giant heart trapped by the 3 crones.

I fought a nightwraith at midnight once just to see....poor idea. Jenny in the woods.

you'll run into some enemies that are just going to be too tough earlier on. Just wait and go back at a later time.

food water and shite, you can eat raw meat and stuff too they have that one potion that heals you and when you run out you can meditate to get it back.

Are there better potions than swallow? I have to drink all three just to get half my health back

innkeepers sell food and water. or just loot every barrel and thing you can find. boring but effective

There is an enhanced swallow potion. But you can eat/drink food and water in combat and don't need to spam Swallow potion. it just isn't as quick.

Whenever I meditate, it automatically replenishes my thunderbolt potion. Is there a way to do that with swallow?
