I'm not saying I agree, I am not far enough to have an opinion. I just know I read a decent amount about it. I think it just got compared to Bloodborne a lot.

I finished up the main quests in Velen. Is it ever necessary to upgrade your weapons? I have the serpentine swords.

I am about half way through the DLC, a LOT of cut scenes but the story is very good. The boss fight are tough and not your normal dps race. Just took the redhead to bed on the boat.
