One real annoyance is that I have some really great frost/fire resistance potions but they only last 60 seconds. With the way dragons randomly go air born and attack wild creatures it is hard to time taking the potions correctly for them to be effectual. The same could be side for dungeon crawling. It seems that my alchemy skill only affects the percentage of resistance rather than the duration of time. One huge unexpected fireball severely damgaes my little kitty thief.
ETA: I just got my first Daedra heart. Gonna make a bow with it I believe. Oh yeat.

Ummmm what? I found two in some dungeon and I think used them both for alchemy on accident.. are they important?

ETA: looked it up, don't really care as I don't use heavy armor. Phew. had me worried (mage in elven armor ftw, working on bsing to get some dragonscale action going)

I found a fix for my PS3 problem. I am at GameStop right now trading in. I cant believe I'm trading in specifically due to Skyrim being essentially broken on the PS3.
How big was your save file? How many hours played? I think I'm around 40 hours of play time and my save file is around 7.6MB. Thus far, I haven't really had any issues(knocks on wood).

Yeah man they make the best weapons/armor in the game. They are rather rare. Don't waste those on alchemy. Easy mistake as it is filed under the alchemy section.
ETA: It is heavy armor but also makes the best weapons as you can't craft dragon weapons.

I haven't read the entire so this may have been discussed already. You can get a free house in Whiterun. Wait until Proventus Avenicci is sleeping. I did it at 5am. Stand by his bed where you can access his wardrobe or dresser and wake him up. After you choose the option "I'll take it" quickly back out of the conversation and store your money in the wardrobe or dresser. Then when he lays back down or leaves you can take your money back.

There must be a quest that opens up Daedra because at level 40, I still haven't seen one.

Story of my life.
So I got the Sanguine Rose last night. Should I keep this thing? Or just cash it in for the booty? I never really use a staff.
Advice anyone?

Keep it. The thing you summon is VERY helpful with tougher fights. He is pretty strong and usually draws attention from you so you can get a few shots in the back before he kills it.

I just learned last night that you can't use every defensive enchantment with every piece of armor.
The guys in azuras star were wrecking my shite with their fireballs, so I was going to make a matched set of leather, fire proof, armor to use in fiery stuations.
WRONG! You can only use the Resist fire/ice/shock on boots. Not armor, or helmet, or bracers. I supplemented with a ring, necklace, and crown, but it was the first time I realized each article of clothing only took certain enchants.

Are there any faster ways to raise enchanting.
Not really.
Go get azuras star (and keep it black). That helps.
Otherwise, disenchant everything you can, use the small gems to constantly recharge magic weapons or enchant stuff you make while smithing. Use the big gems to make your own sets of armor and weapons.
Enough gems spawn every 2 days (Winterhold & whiterun) to do the (Transmute->Smelt->Smith ring/necklace->Enchant->Sell) cyce and level all of them pretty fast.
ETA: Each towns smith usually has several magical items. Buy all the items that have enchants you haven't learned yet. Do the cycle mentioned above to make your money back, then go back to them 48 hrs later and new enchanted items will be there. Wash, rinse, repeat.
You need speech really high.

I knew that only boots could be muffled and and helmets could allow waterbreathing but didn't know about resist frost and fire. That seems odd.
e
ETA: I see now in the guide they have a chart on what enchantments can go on which items. Never noticed that before.

Questions.. Azura's star is the thing that lets you auto soul tap things?
I'm at like 90 enchanting and I'm still not sure how to recharge weapons?
By respawning gems do you mean from the mage vendor? I'm getting tired of buying all my soul gems.

My assumption is to prevent some level of "invincibility".
But you can still acieve 100% resistane when using boots, ring, necklace, and crown. Or when using alchemy combined with armor.
I does seem wierd.

What all does the transmute spell do and where do you get it?

Awesome, thanks.
I read a little about it last night, and people said it helped aggro NPCs.
I'll hang on to it.
Also, any tips on where I can find something that I can use to fill my soul gems? I see some have said they have a dagger, but where do I get this?
