They have a patch for when the game releases so I wouldn't worry to much about bugs at this point.

People have downloaded patch and still having issues. Plus they've never said that the patch fixes this which I'd have to imagine they would if it did.

Which patch did they download? There are at least two of them.

Not sure, I'm sure we'll find out more tomorrow. And I just switched from ps3 to 360 lol. How did Bethesda not notice something this big.

Wouldn't the day-one patch that has been dated only be activated on release date?

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be receiving patch v1.1 (Day One Patch) on November 11. However according to a Norwegian user who received PS3 version of Skyrim today, the patch is v2.0 instead of v1.1.

What people have been saying is they put it out early for reviewers to show that certain glitches or bugs have been fixed. I'm not sure what to believe. Forums have been blowing up about this for about a week. To me it makes logical sense that if the release day patch fixed this they would just say that and allay fears, but who knows.

Official forums have nothing on it, only people bitching about the "skill" thing.

Nah, it's fairly common.
They want you to use their pay to play systems rather than your own.

MY BROTHER AND I WERE SO CLOSE TO GETTING IT EARLY! We went to a local Wal-mart late tonight and we acted like our friend already had it and we had a fake phone conversation with our friend and were like, "Are you sure it was called Skyrim? We don't see it on the shelf here." While an employee was right behind us. Then she was like "Oh, I'll go check the back. I think I saw it back there." And she brought it out and it was beautiful. And we were just trying not to piss ourselves while she was ringing it up; We had good poker faces. And then the freaking register alerted her that it wasn't supposed to be sold until friday, which we knew was a possibility.
So we were like, "oh, weird. I wonder how our friend got it" and she brought it back to the warehouse.
So. Close.

So. Close.

How to obtain Skyrim early:
quote:
Here we go, your going to have at least level 60 speech craft. Google up your local K-mart/Wallmart. Learn the names of the store manager/asst. store managers. Facebook them if you can to learn a little more about them(family names) not that important really. Go at a late time/ask at the customer service if their working. If not, make your way to the electronics department. Tell the merchant your the owners niece, and he told you it was ok to come pick up the game, you just ran late and missed him. When the inevitable override comes along, hope the peasant merchant can do it himself. If not get ready to roll the dice again and come up with a good joke and throw the managers name around some more at the next elf they throw at you. When all is through with game in hand cast invisibility, and practice your dragon shouts as you burst out the door.

Graphical glitches won't bother me much. I just don't want any dead quests.
I can't believe nobody responded to my post on the finishing moves or did you all avoid watching it or was it Germans.

You sir, have tremendous willopower to avoid that vid.
It isn't as violent as eyeballs bouncing around in Fallout 3 but there is at least some gore present now.
I'm jealous of you guys that get to unleash hell starting at 11pm tonight.
I'll be sitting at my door from 5am tomorrow morning until the postal guy finally knocks which with my luck won't be until 7pm.

GiantBomb is having a live "PreSkyrimAstravaganza". They are currently playing Oblivion with a "lizard wizard"

I think some of the skyrim 12 hour marathons are getting ready to start in a couple of hours.
I think I'll avoid those. I don't want to spoil the opening.
