It seems like every time I see dragons they come in pairs now.

luckily, my armor and enchants are holding up so far.

Two dragons isn't bad as long as they don't throw that a-hole mud crab in.

where do you get ingots to make armor from? I want to raise my smithing skill. Also do you have to be a mage or fighter mage to be successful right now I have a archer/sword shield fighter can you do well with these skills or do I have to be a mage.

I've taken a few days break from the game because I was getting my arse kicked lately in battle. I don't think I'm really taking advantage of enchanting/smithing.

Having properly crafted gear and enchants certainly helps.

Make sure to improve your gear, before enchanting it, if you dont have the perk yet. Also giving your companion a nice shield helps.

I have an archer/two handed sword wood elf with high restoration and I kick plenty of arse.

I am level 26 and have only found like 2 shout words or whatever they're called. I have killed probably 10 dragons and absorbed their souls. the frick do i do with their souls?

also, is it worth keeping all the dragon bones/scales or should i sell them.

Gotta travel into dungeons to learn words, from my experiences. usually there will be a word wall at the end. Listen for the "dragon music".

Also, a courier appears at some point, and gives a shout related quest.

I'm 19 and have

Force
Fire
Ice
Slow time
Whirlwind sprint.

Its a blast. Looking forward to upgrading them too. I love the shout system as it ties into char progression, combat mechanics, lore, tangible reward etc

Got the disarm shout last night

Not powerful enough to use on higher level enemies but funny to disarm skeletons and then just watch them flail about

Whenever you do find more shouts, you will need the souls in your inventory to activate them. A few suggestions for finding more shouts...Do a few parts of the main quest. The greybeards max out your unrelenting force, and will also mark dungeons with word walls on your map.

Also, find the dragon priests. They usually have wordwalls by their crypts. There are several online guides to the dragon priest locations.

Early on, sell them. You will need the money. You have to max out the left side of the smithing perk tree to create armor from them. It may take you a while, and there are plent of dragons to kill.

nice, didnt realize that was an attainable shout.

Fricken draugr deathlord in fellglow keep used that disarm shout on me a few times, fricking sucks.

I'm gonna use that one some of these bosses who swing 2handers, they fricking hurt even in improved heavy armor...

Ah frick just reread, not powerful enough? Lame

I assume once I get the rest of it it will be powerful enough

Only have the first word. Tried it on a Deathlord and he resisted

Funny the Deathlords and the 3 brothers on the Forbidden Legend quest have been the toughest enemies for me so far

3 Deathlords in one spot in a crypt took me a solid hour to scheme out how to kill them

Yeah, I finished the Thieves Guild quest and decided to clear out some of the misc quests that I got early and didn't do.

It was one of those. It may be because I have leveled up to 33 and some of those quests are leveling with me. Some are laughably easy and some are hard as hell.

I finally started the companions questline last night...at level 43. The "fragments of wuuthrald" melee after obtaining the fragment was HOLEE shite!!!

Don't know how many Draugr's came out of those coffins, but it took a good 25 minutes and three mid fight saves to finish all of them off. There were 4 deathlords and the rest were wrights (sp?). All at the same damn time!

Dumbass farkas must have been only level 10 or below, b/c he kept getting knocked da frick out after 2-3 hits from those Draugur deathlords and wrights.

Was, easily, the toughest fight I'd had. My high level made that much harder than it should have been.

What level is your character? What class are you playing? I'm playing a sword and shield type of character and at this point, I could probably handle 5 deathlords at once without too much trouble. As long as I keep my blocking clean, I hardly take any damage. It might take me 10 mins to kill all 5 of them, but my health isn't usually a problem. At the most I might have to pop a pot or two.

My quest to get the helmet for the Stormcloaks was like that. They had a few Restless droughs early which made me think it would be really simple, then the room with the helmet had 3 deathlords and a bunch of Wights. All the nameless guys(and girl) died in an instant, my companion died midway through, Rolof and Galdor(can't remember either name) both got raped repeatedly. I was able to barely scrape through by downing a bunch of magicka and health potions.

33 but I am mainly a light armor sneak.

My bow is deadly but it was a closed crypt and I couldn't get away from all 3 to use the bow. Ended up going heavy on magic and potions

My character doesn't do well with multiple badass enemies.

lvl 19 Nord warrior primarily using a 2hander, my 1h and block, along with my own ability to block at the right time, aren't up to acceptable levels I suppose. Gonna work on that, thanks.

And can't get the sneak attack damage we usually get either. The whole fight was...

Conjure frost atronarch
Run away
Dual cast ice Storm repeatedly
Knock down with unrelenting force
Run away
Shoot with arrows until magica replenishes.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
