Update, Orisa is going live in Comp today.
I don't see her being viable unless you do a back line "protect the president" strat with Bastion or some other turret BS. For a tank she is super squishy with a giant head hitbox.
She is also slow AF - her Halt ability is pretty nuts tho but I don't expect people to use it properly at present time.

The Omnic Crisis event is really fun.
The Lucio overhaul is beastly. I love him even more now.
The changes to how winning a CP map is determined are amazing.
Patch 1.10 is the best.

Anyone keep up with the OW pro scene? I hear the Koreans are taking over just like they have LoL, SC and other e-sports games. God it's so boring. They are just so much better than everyone else.

I really don't get it. Is it a culture thing? Are they more accepting of video game culture so their kids are more free to practice all day?

Lucio feels like he actually is making an impact other than just staying alive and being a virtual heal or speedbot. He can actually frag now.
I don't really like the progress bar for capturing points on Hybrid or 2CP - I know they don't like draws, but it completely changes the strategy in a weird way. I think it should be "tick based".
For example, the 1st team on defense can actually defend choke points. If they get a full hold with little or no progress from the attacking team, the next round the opponent is forced to defend the point and not the choke, which is a huge disadvantage. Seems kind of penalizing for the team that has to attack first.

I've seen the suggestion of it being tick based several times now - how would that be any different from the current form?
Solution - don't get skunked on attack. It's no different from a payload map where your team is so outclassed that you barely push the payload out of the starting zone.

The current form doesn't care about tick, just the overall progress.

That's true, but I think it's mostly in the scenario when both teams complete the 1st two rounds in OT (i.e. when the score is 2 to 2 or 3 to 3 in a 2 CP or Hybrid Assualt map).
The first team to attack only has a single minute to win a fight or progress all the way to the CP. You could literally only lose 1 team fight in a minute @ the choke point, then the round is over and you've made zero progress. The second team now has a minute just to touch the CP with no defenders there, so the defending team is forced to camp out in a less-than-desirable position (on the CP itself instead of the choke).
It just seems like a reasonable advantage for the team that gets to attack second. I'm not even sure how that is determined who goes first or second in a 3rd round...

So if I'm understanding the tick suggestion - there would be a series of ticks similar to the 3 we already have, but there would be more of them? And whoever got the most ticks wins...and if you got the same ticks it's still a draw?
I could get behind that.

Ticks > what we have now > what we had before
Had one game earlier where the other team only got 1% on the first point. They stepped off for a second and it was game over. Pretty damn dumb imo

Definitely a culture thing. The Korean treat gamers like Americans treat major pro athletes. Their team play and cohesion is definitely better too.
Pure mechanics like aim and overall game sense there isn't much difference between Korea and other major regions like US or EU.
