What the frick? I was just server hopping in Cherno looking for matches so I can head north. I have a Lee enfield, pistol, can of beans, and compass among other gear. I get into one server and I'm on the coast with only starter gear. So I leave that and get on another. Next time I'm in the wilderness near 5+ other characters that aren't moving.

ETA Its the wilderness debug glitch, you just have to respawn and abort, then either wait and do it over again or try a new lobby. Some servers are much better than others right now.
So I broke my leg and crawled for literally two hours trying to get to hog. Then he died and went offline, so I went to two deer stands that were empty. I was about to call it quits, then what do you know, there is a crashed heli in the field next to me. Im thinking, fix my leg, grab some weapons, and go get revenge for hog and I.
After 20 more minutes of crawling, I get there, and its bone dry. Well, it has a bandage and a fricking toolbox. Not even a box of med supplies. No weapons, no ammo. Nothing. I stood up and started shooting until I was overwhelmed with zeds.

I am debating on posting another ENORMOUS fail. Three guys in an open field, I crawl all the way to them, and cant even kill one. Had a foolproof plan, failed miserably.

Is that common? I watched the video where the guy kills you point blank even though you filled him with the Uzi. I know the game pushes realism but that is weird.

Naa, that was more of it being in alpha and having some serious lag issues.
Unfortunately, it is pretty common. Just one of those things you have to deal with, like zombies walking through walls and attacking you through the floor.
ETA There is a difference in damage as far as weapons and rounds, .45's do more damage than the 9mm, the 7.62 will do more damage than the 5.45 or 5.56, ect. But that instance was more about lag than anything.

i would of thought the 2-3 body shots with that DMR sniper rifle to that guy coming after me would have killed him
pissed me off so bad i couldnt bring myself to get on yesterday. i now know unless its a headshot dont even risk it i still stick by my plan of killing one of two guys that were looting that heli crash site. then kill the other while he was in panic mode. worst case scenario i wouldnt kill the first guy and they would have to find where i was at, run across a big arse open field to where i was sniping at, and attempt to kill me in the trees. and wouldnt ya know it worst frickin case scenario happened except when i first shot the guy in the chest to begin with they scattered like roaches. shot dude again, saw blood, then they ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. i shot a couple more times missing. they spotted where the gunfire was coming from, split up one went right across the field zig zagging and running erratically across the field at me. i let off a barage of bullets at him, seen blood once. figured on killing the guy in the field first then turning my attention to his friend that had circled around to my right in the tree line i was in flanking me. the dude in the field went behind some bushes in the tree line i was in so couldnt see him. thats about the time his friend that flanked me shot me :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: ah well frickin every death is a learning experience. i plan on being on today
