Changelog:
[FIXED] Infected hear perfectly through objects (noise reduced by 50% through an object)
[FIXED] Animal bodies despawn way too fast (now despawn automatically after 2 minutes)
[FIXED] Corrupted update data causes people to spawn in debug forest (now will not save corrupted position data)
[FIXED] States where animal might stop walking around (now should walk around more)
[FIXED] Animal AI routines consuming large amounts of FPS (now in line with Infected AI routines, reduced FPS usage)
[NEW] Player Syncing system replaced (increased performance and ammo quantity tracking)
[FIXED] Error reports are almost invisible (has now been fixed)
[FIXED] Daylight calculations causing slight FPS issue
[NEW] Visibility now smoothly alters based on sun, moon, cloud, rain, and fog state
[NEW] Aubility now dampened in rain and increased by fog
[FIXED] Object cleanup causing significant (huge) performance issue on servers (reduced by up to 50%, means more players + zombies possible)
[FIXED] Use of "allMissionObjects" causing performance issue on clients (new engine command "entities" used to improve FPS on clients)
[FIXED] Too easy to break legs due to infected (reduced probability of leg damage, reduced amount of leg damage)
[FIXED] Inspection of dead bodies does not work (fix only applies with ArmA2 Beta 94033 and above)
[NEW] Exponent driven probability introduced into visibility calculation
[FIXED] Hatchet/Crowbar requires reloading ( LINK ) THANK YOU
[FIXED] Unlimited Wire fence/Sandbag/Tank Trap Bug ( LINK )

If I was to pick up arma2, would that be it? I could play day z without any dlc required purchases?

You need ARMA II and Operation Arrowhead, for 29.99 in Steam now. You dont have ot pay for anything after that, but you need to dl some other things, its in the OP

It also looks like Day Z is impossible to get into right now. Steve and I have been trying over an hour, he is finally in, and I am still stuck waiting.

tried for hours and hours, no dice. Finally would get in, then get in the wilderness debug forest.
Got in one for less than 5 minutes with steve, who at least got my blood back to 12k. Lagged so badly i think it will disappear tomorrow.
I am going to try to knock out some BF3 stuff tonight, so I can try to get bear traps tomorrow

I think that patch screwed up a lot more than they anticipated.
I hear that bear traps arent even in game yet, there are one or two videos out there but they dont really show much.

I know they tweeted about releasing a hot patch this morning but not sure what it did. I feel as if Zombies agro more easily now than before. I am agro'ing zombies a mile away from me now.

Is there anyway to put a primary in a coyote backpack? Tried to put a crossbow and shotgun in there but they disappeared both times. Is is bigger than 8 spots or just impossible to put a primary in there?

I don't remember how many slots a primary weapon takes, but it always tries to put your ammo in there too. If the weapon plus ammo is too big to fit in the available slots it just disappears. I've lost so many weapons that way.
