I thought it was pretty good tbh. Only issue I had with it was a few player faces were trash and the matchmaking was terrible. Mechanics took some getting used too, but once you quit playing it like it's 2k it's pretty good.

I tried the face scan like 4 times and it would say an error occurred halfway through when uploading the scan. So it was able to upload a few of my facial features and I used that.
On the 2K vs Live comparison....I've always loved 2K and their games and said EA's games were trash. But the Live demo was better than the Prelude. I really enjoyed it. But I will say I expect 2K will be the better overall game as it should be. We still haven't gotten to experience "The Neighborhood" and that should be a nice addition to 2K

I'm sort of hesitant when it comes to the "Neighborhood". Don't get me wrong, I think it's a cool idea and concept, but man I just want quicker load times and more stable servers before 2K goes wild with implementing larger open world areas to the Park

This is going to sound negative but...
Prelude was absolute trash.
Story is really dumb.
I play 2K primarily for MyTeam. Doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.

Same. Played it last night and thought the story was awful. Seems like movement is more fluid though. Looks like I'll stick to my GM like always.

I've been debating getting this or Destiny 2. I think I'm going with this, as I just don't have the time to devote towards Destiny.
I only get it for MyPlayer, is that going to be fun this year?

I played maybe 9-10 games online for the Live demo and i think I saw 3 total jumpshots. Not too enjoyable for me.

Yeah, Live is still not even remotely close to competing with 2k. And until they do, 2k is going to continue to half arse NBA 2k

Ughhhhhh I try so hard to avoid paying for VC every year. This year it looks like up'd the price of VC 100%

That's impressive. I tried that last year but playing with a 60 Overall MyCareer player online just doesn't work well for me.

Let me clarify. I never played with my guy on the blacktop because I couldn't figure it out lol. I had to wait forever to stand in a spot waiting for a game to start and then some other team of three people would skip me so I said frick it.
