Official NHL 15 next gen will not feature EASHL or GM Connected

All me and my friends play is EASHL.
The uproar is huge right now on social media and reddit.
People on here DGAF mostly, I know Hart does, but NHL is one of their best and funnest franchises and their 2nd biggest award winning sports franchise behind only FIFA which is made by the same studio. EASHL is the biggest game mode in the game.

I played a decent amount of 14. Never once played EASHL. Only ranked games, season games, and franchise games.

It's by far the biggest game mode in the game, and what EA Sports uses for the ESports League with the yearly tournament pitting the Top 8 teams against each other in a bracket for 50K.

Yep, EA gonna EA, this will kill the franchise, they had over a year on next gen to get it right with no 14 port, and failed. No excuse.
Pretty much every tweet and comment on Reddit is "not buying".
Only hope is that it ends up being false, but doesn't like it.

This is unfrickingbelievable (frick you, it's one word). How could they not find the proper programming to code shite on a game they've had two years to work on? FFS, They trotted out that bullshite game they like to call football soon to be two years running, and they "can't get the coding right" to possibly implement one of the bigger features in the game? Wanna know why they "can't find the coding"? Because they are too fricking worried about their money and want to pump all their bullshite time into My HUT. I swear if EA doesn't have EASHL in next gen I will never purchase another EA Sports title.

It's all me and my friends play, get NHL day 1, create player, create team, play non stop. It's our most anticipated game every year, I'd take it over literally any other game. And they're going to completely frick us for some bullshite lame arse excuse.
This is their biggest feature, but doesn't bring in the money for the greedy fricks like HUT, and this forces you to play HUT for any kind of custom game not using default rosters.
This will kill the franchise, no one is going to buy it without EASHL, including me.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I have a buddy who was introduced to a guy who was college roommates with Sean Ramjagsingh and he was informed that an announcement regarding online play will be made next week. So something in the near vicinity has been spared at least a week. I don't know which day, but I know my buddy wouldn't lie to me about this because he hasn't before (in relation to NHL news)

There was a post on a reddit with a "source" that said something similar, but went a step further to say the announcement is coming within the next week or two and that EASHL is in fact not in the game.
We'll see, but I don't like the chances right now.
They want more money, push everyone towards HUT, remove the other features. Typical EA.

also, what is the EASHL mode? Is this the equivalent of taking away Dynasty mode from NCAA Football or something?

HUT is ultimate team, they have it in FIFA and Madden and Live, etc. Where you buy packs that open cards and you build a team with those cards and play with them online. It's very popular and been a huge success and cash grab for them.
EASHL is Online Team Play where you create a team, invite your friends to your team, and play against other teams online, locked on your player. You have to score goals, get assists, win the game, etc, to level up your player which earns more attribute points. It's only in FIFA and NHL, and it's the biggest mode in NHL.
I was the Right Wing, my buddies play Center and Left Wing, and we have a good goalie still with us from last year. We'd create a team name, jersey, etc, and our player, and go play against other teams of people. It's an absolute blast. You have to win so many games to get into the playoffs at the end of each month, and winning the championship promotes your team to the next division, etc. Highly detailed, and thus the biggest mode for a reason.
EA is basically saying, oh well go play Ultimate Team and give us more money.

EASHL is where you create a player. I don't know if you build up players by doing the single player be a pro or if you also get points for winning online games.
But it is you and a bunch of friends all on one team online and you play against other multi player online teams.

You level up by doing well in the games online, and winning the games. Don't play offline at all, unless you want to.
Can also play drop in games with random players on each team if you don't have your team/friends online, and level up in them.

ahh, I see that would piss me off too. I got really fed up with NCAA a long time ago with all the random things they slowly starting taking out for no good fricking reason other than they are lazy and cheap so I can see why this would be a big deal to a lot of people.
