Well shite I'm glad you and corporate show up after only wins, makes the threads easy I don't even have to watch TSM to know the results either.
Thanks guys!

Rift Rivals begins Thursday, the top 3 teams from NA (TL, 100T, EF) take on EU.
EF vs Fnatic at 2:30 to open it up.

TSM has apparently won 4 games. The last page was my first post this split and it was only to point out a pattern I've noticed while lurking.

I’ve made one post about TSMthis split, which was just about Zven on Kai’sa.
TSM seems mediocre-good right now but nothing special. There is a strong possibility we won’t have this meta going into Worlds, so who the frick knows what current results mean.

I probably over post in here now because it seems like it stays pretty dead outside of UH updating us on LCK every now and then and TL winning. I just want the thread to stay current somewhat. #dyinggame

I think they are close to being a contender. Grig has brought some consistency to jungle. You don’t have to be a superstar to be a successful jungler on this team.
TSM can match TL player for player outside of bot. DL is the most snowbally player I’ve seen in my few years of watching LCS closely. If TSM can keep bot even they can make that game a toss up. They basically inted bot lane last game against them which created a snowball, which TL is very good at putting people away with.
They will continue to get better. They will drop some games (probably that they shouldn’t) but I fully expect them to be right there in the top 3 come playoffs.

I think the pro meta has been about as interesting as we have seen in recent years. At the same time, I think casual play interest has waned for some people.
I wouldn’t say the game is dying, but I think we are looking at peak MOBA, with Battle Royale style games being the next big trend.

It's probably the best meta ever for the game in terms of pro play. But yeah I haven't played a game of ranked in over a month now.

What rank are ya Hog?

I like the meta now. I do think it will eventually go back towards what was the standard, with the 'new meta' comps sprinkled in.
I also like being able to play new things in ranked. People are a lot more open to trying new things since the pros do it.

I like it too. It's fun being able to play almost anything you want in any role (besides Jungle in most cases). Friend and I duo bot and play different stuff to have fun and mess with different combos. Anivia + Swain is one of our favorites.
I think I'm done with ranked for the most part. I'm going to hop on and play my one game a month to avoid decay, but with new WoW expansion looming, that will take up most of my time.
I enjoy watching the pro games with this meta. You get a bit of everything - Traditional, funnel, mage bot lanes. Things like that. If it was all funnel or the same bot lanes EVERY game, I would get bored with it.

Echo Fox and Fnatic are on the rift! EF replaced FeniX with Damonte.
FNC defeats EF fairly easily.
TL destroys Splyce.
100T loses fairly hard to G2.
EF beats Splyce.
2-2 after Day 1.

I didn't get a chance to watch this one, but looking at the K/Ds, it looks like not really one person on TL got extremely fed, just every lane stomped Splyce. Huge gold lead all around.

100T stayed in the game as long as they could, really only due to Perkz inting a couple times and a couple fights that G2 pushed to try to end and 100T did everything they could to stop it.
Levi played well, but I don't know if he can carry every game with funnel. There were a few fights were he kind of went off and tried to 1v1 a G2 player while the rest of his team fought separately and lost. He would come back just in time to clean up a few players but was too late. His numbers were a little inflated.
ETA: Brandini absolutely got exposed in game 1 early. Maybe first game nerves but he may be a liability going forward. Teams will know to camp top to take him out of the game to beat 100T.

Meanwhile Flash Wolves are beating everyone in the other Rift Rivals with LCK/LPL/LMS. Kingzone lost to both RNG and FW today. SKT lost to Invictus.
LCK may just not be that strong this year.

TL beats Fnatic, never trailed from the get go, nice clean win from TL.

I said it 2-3 weeks ago, and I’ll say it again:
Kai’sa is the first champion banned when TL is across the stage from you. Unless you have first pick and play her, she needs to be taken away. I don’t care what the meta is, what you want to counter his Kai’sa with, or whatever. You take that champion away from him or odds are you are going to lose.
I’ve found pro league players are so hard headed when it comes to strategy. Doesn’t matter who the better team is, it always comes down to them always thinking their strat is always better than the other teams. Swallow your pride and ban that champion.
Fnatic without Rekkles isn’t near as good as TL so I’m not surprised to see TL win fairly easily. The current meta really hurts that team.
The only competition for TL is G2 and that should be a good game.

Eh, TL just plays really well. They are the class of NA by a wide margin and have been for awhile. They just play really well all the way around. Team fighting, laning phase, macro play, always draft well.
Rekkles himself says Fnatic is better with the no adc strat, and EU is by far the biggest believers in funnel strat, that is all they play over there.

Right, and they lost. What is your point here other than discrediting TL over and over salty about DL?
