Team Liquid 3-2 over 100T, they threw a 12K double baron gold lead and still came back to win 2 straight and the series. 
TL locks up at worst 2 seed for Worlds.

Why TSM stuck with the worst top in league I do not know. Single handedly threw that game and does that shite all the time. Yikes.

The question is who do they get to replace huni, he's a resident now and they've got to use their import slots on swordart and a mid laner. I haven't watched any of summer split so I don't know if there's any decent resident top talent.

If so then I think I'm done with watching competitive league. I only keep up with it a little now out of some delusional hope that C9 or Liquid or whoever will make a miracle run at worlds and give NA something to take pride in. Without the import rule every team will just import entire Korean challenger teams.

hopefully this doesn't come off as just a salty TSM fan but i think this result is devastating for the LCS.
just had a year long season in which the 1st place team doesn't even make worlds. they have put so much emphasis on worlds and considering how bad NA has been there it has already started to kill interest. now with this i wonder how much more the viewership drops.

I disagree, got to send the best teams. That TSM roster is not very good even on paper, and clearly not top 3 in NA. Serious draft issues from Bjerg, POE invisible mid limited champ pool, and Huni is not good. C9 didn't even look very good, looked like the same team that TL smacked with those early games still.
Plus C9 is also 1st place as they won spring and went to MSI, so they are just as deserving if not more.
NA is sending the 3 best teams, all you can ask for.
It's not like TSM has earned shite...

i agree they are not the best but they still finished first overall in a year long season. at this point why watch anything before playoffs?
edit: my favorite solution is using the LCK system but going off history that would kill viewership even more.
i do think now would be one of the better times to try it again. 100T, C9, TL, EG, TSM are all interesting teams. FQ at least tries to be involved and CLG has to turn it around one day right?

Idk what you mean, that is every sport in the world. The #1 seed in anything often doesn't win a lot of the time.
TSM finished a fairly decent 4th in the playoffs when it mattered. Not competitive with TL in upper bracket, and lost 2 straight to C9 again to end the year. Other sports don't give you double elim typically either.
NA sure as hell isn't ever getting 4 teams at Worlds.
C9/100T may very well lose in play ins whoever gets the 3.
